[LLVMdev] Creating a new project using LLVM
Chen,
Thank you.
When I replaced gcc by clang, how do I ensure that the clang use the
LLVM backend that is already modified by myself? I am trying to
modified the source code for the register allocator of the llvm and
want to apply this modification to the clang compiler. I see that when
I compile the whole modified llvm project from scratch, it does not
produce a Clang executable. The clang

[LLVMdev] Creating a new project using LLVM
Hi Sands,
Thanks for you timely reply. :)
I tried to compile the C files into LLVM bitcode and then compile then using llc. But can I use this method to compile a group of files(with dependencies)? Because the gzip files I downloaded has a bunch of source code and it uses a makefile to compile/install.

to compile C code like gzip, you need to use an LLVM front-end like clang or
dragonegg. Probably you should compile to LLVM bitcode,

[LLVMdev] Creating a new project using LLVM
Hello all,
I was doing some research on LLVM register allocator. I need to test my modification of the register allocator by using some test benchmarks.(Say I am using the gzip as a test program.) How can I make the whole gzip program using LLVM?
I read the "LLVM Makefile Guide" documentation but still not clear about how to modify the makefile of the gzip.

why stress value remains so high after invoking of metaMDS
Hello everyone!
metaMDS(cm, distance = "euclidean", k = 2, trymax = 50, autotransform
=TRUE, trace = 1, plot = T)
(cm is a similarity matrix, in which values are positive integers or 0)
I use this command to run NMDS on my matrix "cm". But the stress is very
high after analysis. About 14.
Actually, there is no improvment comparing with using isoMDS.

[LLVMdev] writing an alias analysis pass?
Hi Matthew,
Did you add your alias analysis pass initializeEverythingMustAliasPass() into llvm::initializeAnalysis(PassRegistry &Registry) {} ?
This will initialize it linked into the Analysis library.
thanks,
chen
