replace loops with matrix
Hey, R users I am using?numerical method for my research paper and the computation burden is very heavy. first I tried to do it with loops, example code as following, and it take hours to converge for only 200 obs. and my real data has 4000 obs. and the optimization command that I use is: optim(guess,myfunc1,data=mydata, method="BFGS",hessian=T)) then I tried matrix

[LLVMdev] gold and debug information
Hi, I would like to get the whole program bitcode with debug information in it. I tried to use CFLAGS = "-O4 -g", but it ends with the following error: collect2: ld terminated with signal 6 [Aborted] Unknown constant! UNREACHABLE executed at /local.toadette/aliang/fixing/llvm-2.7/llvm-2.7/lib/Bitcode/Writer/BitcodeWriter.cpp:895! What is the right way to get a whole program bitcode

question on "optim"
Hey, R users I do not know how to describe my question. I am a new user for R and write the following?code for a dynamic labor economics?model and use OPTIM to get optimizations and parameter values. the following code does not work due to the?equation: ?? wden[,i]<-dnorm((1-regw[,i])/w[5])/w[5] where w[5]?is one of the parameters (together with vector a, b and other elements in vector

optim with BFGS--what may lead to this, a strange thing happened
Dear R Users on a self-written function for calculating maximum likelihood probability (plz check function code at the bottom of this message), one value, wden, suddenly jump to zero. detail info as following: w[11]=2.14 lnw =2.37 2.90 3.76 ... regw =1.96 1.77 1.82 .... wden=0.182 0.178 0.179... w[11]=2.14 lnw=2.37 2.90 3.76 ... regw =1.96 1.77 1.82 .... wden=0.182

data.frame with a column containing an array
I think the following may provide a clearer explanation: subs <- c(1,3) DFA <- data.frame(id = 1:3) ar <- array(1:12, c(3,2,2)) ## yielding > ar , , 1 [,1] [,2] [1,] 1 4 [2,] 2 5 [3,] 3 6 , , 2 [,1] [,2] [1,] 7 10 [2,] 8 11 [3,] 9 12 ## array subscripting gives > ar[subs,,] , , 1 [,1] [,2] [1,] 1 4 [2,] 3 6 , , 2

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] Refactoring the DFA generator
I missed last 2 commits made by Alexey. Following his advices, I updated the patch. It should be ok now. data.frame with a column containing an array
So is this an expected behavior or is it a bug which should be reported somewhere else? Thanks! Georg? ? ? Gesendet:?Dienstag, 09. data.frame with a column containing an array
I really don't know. I would call it a request for extended capabilities of [.data.frame, rather than a feature or bug. But maybe wiser heads than mine who monitor this list can sort it out. -- Bert On Wed, May 24, 2023 at 8:52?PM Georg Kindermann <Georg.Kindermann at gmx.at> wrote: > So is this an expected behavior or is it a bug which should be reported > somewhere else? >

[LLVMdev] [llvm-commits] [PATCH] Refactoring the DFA generator
Hi Anshu, Just in case you have forgotten this thread ;-). Is this patch ok to commit or does it not apply to trunk properly ? I can fix it if that's the problem. Hi Anshu, Thanks for reviewing this. I added a top comment for AddInsnClass and I fixed the violation of column numbers. data.frame with a column containing an array
Dear list members, when I create a data.frame containing an array I had expected, that I get a similar result, when subsetting it, like having a matrix in a data.frame. But instead I get only the first element and not all values of the remaining dimensions. Differences are already when creating the data.frame, where I can use `I` in case of a matrix but for an array I am only able to insert it in
