[PATCH] Allow ./configure --without-qemu.
From: "Richard W.M. Jones" <rjones at redhat.com> This means there will be no default hypervisor, and effectively the user will always have to specify one (eg. by setting LIBGUESTFS_HV or calling guestfs_set_hv). This is useful on platforms where qemu doesn't work, or where qemu is not needed (eg. if you want to use UML, or you just want to compile libguestfs without

Allow --without-privsep build.
I've been trying to cut down the size of openssh so I can run it on my Nokia 770. One thing which helps a fair amount (and will help even more when I get '-ffunction-sections -fdata-sections --gc-sections' working) is to have the option of compiling out privilege separation... Is it worth me tidying this up and trying to make it apply properly to the OpenBSD version? Does the openbsd

New feature: remote entropy gatherer port
[NOTE: I'm new to this list and this is my first approach to OpenSSH code.] I've enhanced "--with-prngd-port=PORT" flag to accept an optional hostname as in "myhost:myport", e.g.: % ./configure --with-prngd-port=example.com:12345 Although I'm certain that this may cause big trouble if remote gatherer isn't online (ssh will refuse to open any connection) I

[LLVMdev] Dealing with a corrupted /proc/self/exe link
Hi all, I am in charge of the controlled introduction of clang into our builds at my workplace. Since all our tools must run from a ClearCase view for automatic dependency tracking, we have been biten by a Linux bug, and readlink("/proc/self/exe", ...) gives nonsensical results. So we need to introduce a configure option for disallowing this method of executable discovery (the other one

[LLVMdev] Linking to LLVM libs from new project
Hi all, I have a new sample project set up in my llvm/projects directory, and I'd eventually like my frontend to generate an LLVM IR tree. To do so, I believe I need to link to the appropriate LLVM libraries. That's where I'm stuck. I can't seem to find any specific documentation that describes how to set up a new project to link to LLVM libraries. To get started, I added a

Bug#805508: [PATCH] tools: allow configure time choice of libexec subdirectory.
Currently we hardcode various paths such as $libexec/xen/{bin,boot}, however some downstreams (notably Debian) would like instead to install things into $libexec/xen-X.Y/{bin,boot} as part of allowing multiple versions of the tools packages to be installed. Since this currently involves patching configure its a bit fiddly, provide a configure option for the leaf dir instead, name it

configure.in reorder patch
Feb 12 CVS (sort of, see warning below) I've had to change around some of the code in configure.in to get some platforms to compile with the --with-tcp-wrappers option. Basicly I have set it up to check headers check system libraries check for optional packages check functions I have also tried to clean up the library order as it is important on some platforms. OpenSSH 2.1.1p2: /etc/nologin handling and related stuff
Attached is a patch to be applied with GNU patch -p0, notice that configure needs to be regenerated. The patch addresses the following annoyances: * On AIX there is a signal called SIGDANGER which is sent to all processes when the machine runs low on virtual memory. This patch makes sure that this signal is ignored, because the default on older AIX releases is to kill the running process

[PATCH] build: Don't test for qemu virtio-serial at configure time.
qemu has supported virtio-serial since forever, and we depend on much newer features now, so testing for virtio-serial is pointless. In fact allowing a set of possible qemu binaries to be supplied is also pointless, since packagers or even people building from source know what qemu binary they want to use. Now the possible options for --with-qemu are: * --with-qemu=search (or --with-qemu
