I have had this problem on and off since RedHat 6, and I always worked through it, but I thought I would ask. When you have multiple network interfaces, how does the system determine the default route? Or is it the first, (or last) interface that comes up? On the problem systems I have to add a "route add default..." statement in some systems in the rc.local to get them to work right.

I've just noticed that 3Ware has a more current version of the firmware for the 9500S than I have on several machines. All of mine are running: 3w-9xxx: scsi0: Firmware FE9X 3.04.00.005, BIOS BE9X 3.04.00.002, Ports: 8. and the latest rev appears to be 3.08. I have a raid 50 array on a 3ware controller. The box is running centos 6.5 and the file system is ext4. I'm going to try some other filesystems, but could anyone suggest any alternative raid setups as well as stripe sizes I should try? I switched my file server's hard disks from a p-2 350 to a p-3 deley 1.1 ghz. I ran kudzu and it detected the new nic and unconfigured the old one. I may have messed up the static ip assignment because hte system is not able to do anything on the network. Well that didn't work. I got a bootable dvd out of it but the centos installed did not detect the media as having the installation files. It asked for a cd instead of recognizing the dvd. Winiso cannot handle dvd's..:( Anyone have a way to make the centos installer realize all its files are on the dvd instead of looking for three cd's? -- My "Foundation" verse:
