[LLVMdev] How to install poolalloc?
Hi, John Criswell
Thank you very much.
I am installing LLVM-3.2, but I encounter the next error when carrying out
"make":

[LLVMdev] How to install poolalloc?
Which compiler are you using to compile poolalloc? Looks like it doesn't
support C++11 (doesn't recognize nullptr).

Is this error occurring when compiling the version of Clang within
SAFECode or standard Clang? If it's the former, you should know that
you don't need to compile SAFECode to use

[LLVMdev] Fail when building llvm2.9 using MinGW64
I was building llvm2.9 using MinGW64 on windows, msys was 32 bit so I
specified --host option for a cross compiling. Following are my configure
options:
../llvm2.9/configure --prefix=/home/AutoESL/llvm-obj
--host=x86_64-w64-mingw32
--disable-multilib
The error:
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/AutoESL/llvm-obj/lib/VMCore'

[LLVMdev] How to get MIPS from clang + llvm ?
I was told that I can use clang + llvm to get MIPS instructions on my x86 machine.
I did following command and got error below. Does anyone have any idea ? or can someone suggest me how to get MIPS instructions easily from llvm.

Yes. For working with poolalloc, I would recommend using LLVM 3.2 as we
know poolalloc compiles with LLVM 3.2.
If there's a release_29 branch for poolalloc, you could use that, but
you won't get any bug fixes that we added between poolalloc 2.9 and
poolalloc

Using `smullohi` in TableGen patterns
I’m hitting TableGen errors trying to match the smullohi <lhs> <rhs> node
in TableGen.
smullohi returns two results, which is the problem. I am not sure how to
match against multiple results. The only other nodes to return two operands
are umullohi, udivrem, and sdivrem. There are no examples of these in
TableGen in tree.
The closest I can get is this:

[LLVMdev] Errors while building and installation of llvm-1.9
I have downloaded the llvm-1.9 from the following link
http://llvm.org/releases/download.html#1.9
There are some header files missing and I am getting some compilation errors
of the source code when I compiled the llvm-1.9.
Can you please send me the correct source code.
I am getting the following errors when I compiled the llvm-1.9 on
linux-ubuntu with the following command.

You are welcome.
I changed the pattern, the same old error pop up again, crash in the same place.

[LLVMdev] TableGen backend API refactoring.
tl;dr: is anyone opposed to making the interface to a TableGen backend be:
void MyBackend(RecordKeeper &, raw_ostream & /* maybe some other args, per
backend's needs */);
??
Currently, this is the "interface" for a TableGen backend:
struct TableGenBackend {
virtual void anchor();
virtual ~TableGenBackend() {}
// run - All TableGen backends should implement the run

Overlapping register groups in old 8-bit MC6809 processor.
Hi
I'm returning to my MC6809 back-end from a health-related hiatus. The assembler is tantalisingly close, but I've got some parsing and matching problems.
The register set; these overlap in annoying ways, for instance, two instructions TFR and EXG each have a single opcode, and the post-byte specifies which registers are to be involved, but the registers can be 8- or 16-bit, and 2 of

Cannot build master
Do you really need to build the C library for MLIR?
If so, it looks like it's just a missing dependency - MPFR library. Or if
you do have that library available, it's missing expected features.

Help building llvm on freebsd 8.4
I am trying to build LLVM from source in FreeBSD 8.4. Here are the steps i
carried out
1. Downloaded the source from
http://llvm.org/releases/3.8.0/llvm-3.8.0.src.tar.xz
2. Extracted the source into a folder.
3. Created a build directory and inside it ran $ cmake ../llvm-3.8.0.src
4. Started the build using $cmake --build .
It throws the following error
