P.S. I _had_ read the other posts that suggest changing to unicast sntp mode. This didn't help. I eventually setup a new ntp server on my LAN, and used it as a sync source. Everything seems OK now. Does anyone have a solution for the problem of file and directory names containing characters which are OK in DOS/Windows but illegal (or at least unwise) in Unix?
