[LLVMdev] Adding dependency on MemoryDependenceAnalysis pass to LICM causes opt to get stuck in addPass
I'm attempting to add some support for hoisting/sinking of memory-using intrinsics in loops, and so I want to use MemoryDependenceAnalysis in LICM, but when I modify getAnalysisUsge to include this : virtual void getAnalysisUsage(AnalysisUsage &AU) const { AU.setPreservesCFG(); AU.addRequired<DominatorTree>(); AU.addRequired<LoopInfo>();

[LLVMdev] Function Pass Manager
Hi again, I come back to this issue with an example. It's a pass which does nothing but throw the 'Unable to schedule' error. namespace { struct MyPass : public FunctionPass { static char ID; // Pass identification, replacement for typeid MyPass() : FunctionPass(ID) { initializeMyPassPass(*PassRegistry::getPassRegistry()); } virtual void

[LLVMdev] Function Pass Manager
Hi, I'm writing a function pass which is dynamically loaded by opt and I need some analysis and passes to be run before my pass: virtual void getAnalysisUsage(AnalysisUsage &AU) const { AU.addRequired<LoopInfo>(); AU.addPreserved<LoopInfo>(); AU.addRequiredID(LoopSimplifyID); AU.addPreservedID(LoopSimplifyID);

About LLVM Pass dependency
Hello I am working on pass which has dependency on multiple passes. Say D1,D2,D3 I used INITIALIZE_PASS_BEGIN INITIALIZE_PASS_DEPENDENCY(D1) INITIALIZE_PASS_DEPENDENCY(D2) INITIALIZE_PASS_DEPENDENCY(D3) INITIALIZE_PASS_END. While running it through opt tool it, I had to specify this D1,D2,D3 pass names to get this pass executed before my pass. Is there way, to let llvm pass manager to know

[LLVMdev] Assertion `PI && "Expected required passes to be initialized"' failed for AliasAnalysis.
Dear lazydev, I'm writing an instrumentation pass that depends on AliasAnalysis. My getAnalysisUsage() looks as follows: 2453 void ThreadSanitizer::getAnalysisUsage(AnalysisUsage &AU) const { 2454 AU.addRequired<TargetData>(); 2455 AU.addRequired<AliasAnalysis>(); 2456 } and the pass initialization: 2668 char ThreadSanitizer::ID = 0; 2669

About LLVM Pass dependency
Hi Hongbin I am not quite familiar with AnalysisUsage, let me correct question a bit. I have read Writing Pass <http://llvm.org/docs/WritingAnLLVMPass.html#specifying-interactions-between-passes>, All examples that i see here are based on collecting information .i.e Analysis Passes. I wonder if this applies to Transformation passes also. e.g. void MyInliner::getAnalysisUsage(AnalysisUsage

[LLVMdev] Assertion `PI && "Expected required passes to be initialized"' failed for AliasAnalysis.
Hi Alexander, I had the same error: sincos: /home/marcusmae/rpmbuild/BUILD/llvm/lib/VMCore/PassManager.cpp:635: void llvm::PMTopLevelManager::schedulePass(llvm::Pass*): Assertion `PI && "Expected required passes to be initialized"' failed. The solution was to add: PassRegistry &Registry = *PassRegistry::getPassRegistry(); initializeCore(Registry);

[LLVMdev] Error when trying to chain two llvm transform passes
Hi, I am trying to chain two transform passes. ** The first pass is a function pass which requires the 'memory dependence pass' . ** The second pass is a function pass which requires the first pass above. The passes run fine when executed alone. I get the following error when I try to run my second pass with the following code added > > void

Beginners question
Dear list, I've been messing around with coding functions in R and it just won't make sense to me. Running my analysis by hand on command line is fine and works but because of the repetitive nature of the job I would like to code a function for it. My problem: I would like to read in data from a file in my current working dir. so my code would look like: myanalysis <-

[LLVMdev] 2.9 segfault when requesting for both LoopInfo and DominatorTree analyses.
When migrating my project to 2.9, I've encountered a strange segfault where if a ModulePass's getAnalysisUsage adds LoopInfo and DominatorTree, then llvm::PMTopLevelManager::findAnalysisUsage will segfault. What's odd is that if I rearrange this (add required for DominatorTree before LoopInfo), it does not segfault. I realize that LoopInfo requires and preserves DominatorTree, but this
