[LLVMdev] How to disable or override libgcc when linking?
Hi,
I'm using compiler-rt to build the library to replace libgcc. How can I
disable -lgcc being added and passed to the linker?
When I use:
"clang -ccc-gcc-name arm-cross-g++ hello.c -Lmypath -lmylib -v"
-lgcc is always added:
"...gcc/arm-none-linux-gnueabi/4.6.1/collect2 ... /tmp/hello-Pj9QxO.o
-lgcc ..."
How can I disable or override libgcc from the command line?

[LLVMdev] OT: intel darwin losing primary target status
Nick,
How exactly do you envision this being done? Looking at the contents
of config/darwin.h, I see...

libraries to link against, and by not linking against libgcc_s on

Note that by default, -lgcc_eh is not linked against! This is
because in a future version of Darwin the EH frame

Linker problem in installing 64-bit R
Hi,
I am trying to compile R-2.2.1 on Solaris 2.9 with a 64-bit build. Following
the instructions in "R Installation and Adminstration", I changed the
following settings in "config.site":
CC="gcc -m64"
F77="g77 -64"
CXX="g++ -m64"
LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/lib/sparcv9 -L/usr/local/lib"
But I got the following error messages:

[LLVMdev] clang\clang++ 3.6.0 don't find C\C++ header , in windows ?
1 hour ago I downloaded llvm-3.6.0-rc4-win32.exe from
http://llvm.org/pre-releases/3.6.0/ .
I tried to compile simple C code that just print "hello" , but it
didn't compile , because clang.exe can't find . when I use
clang-cl.exe with the same code , it worked .
I also have the same problem with clang++ even with , I add -I flag to
GCC (4.9.1) C++ headers , the result:

32bit development on x86-64
We develop software and are beginning a slow transition from 32 bit

build
programs targeted for both environments using the x86-64 machines for
development.
here is a simple/small "application", sizes.c:

[LLVMdev] [compiler-rt] is the arm lib complete?
Hi,
I'm trying to link my objs with compiler-rt built runtime lib for arm.
According to the compiler-rt doc, it should be able to replace libgcc.
However, if I replace "-lgcc" with "compiler-rt.a" for a static linking,
gcc linker complains about undefined functions. Using "nm -g", I compared
the functions in libgcc and compiler-rt.full-arm.a and found there are

[LLVMdev] build errors while cross compiling llvm-gcc for ARM
Sorry for not explaining well.
After compiling with g++-cross
g++-cross -c a.c
I do link using this command
/gold_binutils/build/gold/ld-new -plugin
~/Desktop/Sanjeev/LLVM/llvm-2.7/Release/lib/libLLVMgold.so --eh-frame-hdr
-melf_i386 -dynamic-linker /lib/ld-linux.so.2 /usr/lib/crt1.o

Ok, this way you're generating code for x86

[LLVMdev] Unreachable code executed crash
Initially, tt was not a problem with the verifier, we were just inserting a
wrong instruction in our pass. Also we were able to figure out the error you
pointed out and our pass is running as intended!!! Thanks a lot.

I was able to solve that but still crashing with the same error saying
"Unreachable executed". I have attached the output with this mail.
Thanks in advance.

What was wrong? I wasn't able to reproduce it and would still like to
teach the verifier whatever it missed.
but still crashing with the same error saying

This time you've got:

Yes. Intially the pass was crashing when the module when the module verifier
was running. I was able to solve that and now it is crashing when the bit
writer pass is running.

The output is wrong in @thread_pool_init:
<stdin>:44:27: error: '%4' defined with type 'i1'
%5 = getelementptr i32* %4, i64 %indvar ; <i32*> [#uses=1]

Failed to replace stdlibc++ with libc++, linker phase error
Hi,
I'm currently working on one of my team's project to build LLVM full clang
toolchain (Clang, libcxx, libcxxabi) on a CentOS machine.
Previously we compiled our codebase with llvm-toolset-7/clang++, which by
default takes stdlibc++ to compile and link. And now we'd like to switch to
use LLVM clang with libc++. I have built libc++ and libc++abi from source
(5.0.1 release) and set

Thank You:)

[LLVMdev] Unreachable code executed crash
Hi,
I've written a pass that basically does some code transformations to
enable parallel execution of loops. After the transformation llvm runs
BitCode Writer pass , which is aborting with Unreachable Executed error.
I have attached the input llvm code and the output llvm code for reference.
I am stuck at this problem for a few days now. Please let me know if you are
able to find anything
