[LLVMdev] Cross-compile to ARM using Code Sourcery Lite Toolchain
Hello, (cc:llvmdev Keeping on the list to get more eyes on the problem and for archival purposes). Configure will be re-run, yes. LLVM includes some tools which need to be built for the host, even when cross compiling (e.g., tblgen). In a cross-build, these are built in the BuiltTools directory and that's where you're seeing configure being re-run. >From the below snippet it appears

[LLVMdev] LLVM and CLANG Build question
I had llvm 2.9 installed on ununtu. I tried to build clang but got following error. I have llvm 2.9 and clang is latest version ( I don't know, I got from svn). I am wondering is it because of version problem ? Does clang work with 2.9 llvm ? llvm[3]: Compiling ClangASTNodesEmitter.cpp for Debug build In file included from

I was building llvm2.9 using MinGW64 on windows, msys was 32 bit so I specified --host option for a cross compiling. Following are my configure options: ../llvm2.9/configure --prefix=/home/AutoESL/llvm-obj --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 --disable-multilib The error: make[1]: Entering directory `/home/AutoESL/llvm-obj/lib/VMCore' make[1]: ***

help compiling samba
I'm compiling samba-3.6.22 for android with the sourcery arm-2010q1 compiler. The compile itself goes fine, but when I copy smbd to my device it's not recognized as a binary. I get the error sh: ./smbd: No such file or directory file under linux tells me: smbd: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, ARM, EABI5 version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.16, not

static compile
Grr why is this so hard? Compiling samba-3.6.24 for android using the sourcery toolchain. Dropbear and busybox went w/o a hitch. I've googled the hell out of this, nothing I've found has helped. Here's my config: ./configure --without-krb5 \ --without-ldap \ --without-ads \ --disable-cups \ --enable-swat=no \ --enable-static=yes \ --disable-shared \ --with-winbind=no \

[LLVMdev] Problem with llvm-gcc 'make' and arm-none-linux-gnueabi-as
Hello: I recently attempted to update the ARM cross-compilation setup I had with llvm, and it did not work, so I wanted to revert back to my initial configuration. I reconfigured/make/make install'ed my llvm which executed fine, and then cleared out my llvm-gcc obj and install folders, and reconfigured gcc from within llvm-gcc/obj as follows: ../llvm-gcc-4.2-2.9.source/configure

[LLVMdev] dragonegg arm patch
Hi Duncan, I made a patch for dragonegg. This patch is for dragonegg to generate arm assembly code. Dragonegg is compiled with this patch after building gcc-4.6 as cross compiler for arm and then dragonegg can generate arm assembly code. It currently makes errors to build dragonegg and llvm from svn. so I made a patch using dragonegg-3.0 source code. (This patch doesn't support
