Hi Daniel, attached is a patch that pushes most of the object file specific parsing out of AsmParser and down into MachOAsmParser. This was done as a cleanup for the ELF work. I know that you're not happy with this approach, particularly the fact that as we add more object file formats and assembler dialects, it's going to cause a class explosion. [LLVMdev] VMKit build problems; can't use LLVM3.4.2 ?
Greetings, I've been using LLVM and Clang for some time, but I'm new to the list and new to VMKit; please advise if I should post this elsewhere. [LLVMdev] Unable to generate obj file using llc for bpf
Hi Alexei, I haven't tried to run code yet. The clang frontend can generate machine code for bpf but llc does not do the job. why doesn't table() have a data=argument?
In an Rweave tutorial written for possibly naive R users, I felt it necessary to explain why table() had to be used inside with(), whereas other tools like xtabs() had a data= argument. with() is quite nice for such cases, but it seems an unnecessary thing to learn right off. Before I turn this question into a request for R-devel, is there any inherent reason why it might be hard to add a

merge() generates a factor: bug?
Hello, When I merge two dataframes, each created by read.table and containing no factors, the result has columns which have been converted to factor. I think this is a bug (and may be related to some fixed bugs, eg PR#1102, PR#1121), but will await comments before submitting. Also, I'm not sure if the bug is in merge() or in read.table(). I am using R-1.4.0 patch 1/13/02 on Solaris 2.6.

I'm rewriting this patch for the stubs to not use outputing of raw text. Generating the instructions is very straightforward and that part is done. I'm translating the actual function now. How do you emit an .ent or .globl from asm printer? .type ? .end ?? .section ??? I'm studying the classes now but it should be simple to do so if you know, you can save me some time because this

I think that 32-bit systems (especially ARM) may be short on memory so doubling the size of the table containing (potentially) all the functions may give a tangible overhead. I would even align the entries to 4 bytes (so 12 bytes per entry) on 32-bit platforms and to 8 bytes (so 24-bytes per entry) on 64-bit platforms, to improve CPU cache hits. What do you think?
