[LLVMdev] cmake and testsuite
I just tried cmake for the first time and it mostly worked. I had been using autotools to configure. With cmake configure environment when I try to do: make TESTSUITE=CodeGen/mblaze check it runs the whole test suite. Under autotools it would just run the mblaze tests. Is there an equivalent command in a camke configured environment or is this broken? I know nothing about cmake so I'm

[LLVMdev] MBlaze select_cc lowering question.
Can someone explain how the condition code is passed from the MBlazeTargetLowering::LowerSELECT_CC to MBlazeTargetLowering::EmitCustomSelect custom inserter? In LowerSELECT_CC the condition code is never accessed (Op.GetOperand(4)) and I don't see how it ends up getting correctly passed to the MBlazeTargetLowering::EmitCustomSelect. > SDValue

[llvm-toolchain v3.8.1] LTO: Linking clang hangs with ld.gold and LLVMgold.so plugin
Hi, unfortunately, my build somehow hangs when linking clang binary and my system is in an unusable state. My toolchain is clang-3.8, gold-1.11 and LLVMgold.so from binutils v2.26.1 (both selfmade) and LTO-flag is enabled. My buildsystem uses cmake-3.6.0 and ninja-1.7.1 (both prebuilt). I have 52 last steps left in my 3rd build. My Linux-kernel is v3.13.0-92 from official Ubuntu repositories.

[LLVMdev] clang -emit-llvm uses system ld
Hello, I've been trying to build some normal linux applications with clang and I keep running into a snag in configure scripts. Perhaps these scripts are not written very well, but the current clang behavior seems strange. When I run clang with the -emit-llvm option, it still uses /usr/bin/ld as the linker which fails to compile llvm bitcode on linux (though it works on mac). Here's a

[LLVMdev] clang -emit-llvm uses system ld
Hi Rafael, I've tried the LTO options with dragonegg, but I haven't had any luck getting it to work, I'm not sure if it is related to my installation of gold or my gcc configuration. I'm really interested in getting the resulting program as bitcode though. Will LTO do that for me? What I'm trying to do is build a bitcode version of libc that I can combine with a program and

[llvm-toolchain v3.8.1] LTO: Linking clang hangs with ld.gold and LLVMgold.so plugin
How big is your project? LTO eats RAM even faster than chrome. For example linking clang with LTO could take 16GB of ram. Have you tried using LTO on your project on that machine, or is it your first time? [LLVMdev] problem using LTO
Hello, I down loaded "llvm-gcc4.2-2.7-x86_64-linux" and I built Spec2006 with it. It is great and except for one benchmark the rest work fine. I want to build them with LTO now. I followed the directions in " http://llvm.org/docs/GoldPlugin.html" and built ar, nm-new, and ld-new in binutils. I also built libLLVMgold.so. I get the following error: llvm-gcc: -use-gold-plugin,

[LLVMdev] LLVM LTO
Hi, I am trying to use LLVM LTO. I read http://llvm.org/docs/GoldPlugin.html and have some questions. Could anyone help? 1. Can LLVMgold.so work with BFD LD instead of gold? In the description of changes in binutils 2.20, "* The plugin target has been added to bfd. It can load the same shared objects used by gold and uses them to provide basic support for new file formats.".

Heres a link to the screenshot of the error: http://postimg.org/image/anlpuufbl/ This is the error message that it shows and so I am also unable to get ld-new. I checked and no CFLAGS were set in etc/make.conf. How to proceed with the installation? I am using the deault

[LLVMdev] Dropped support for IR-level extended linking support (archives, etc.)
r172749 removed Linker/LinkArchives.cpp and Linker/LinkItems.cpp citing: This code is dead, and the "right" way to get this support is to use the platform-specific linker-integrated LTO mechanisms, or the forthcoming LLVM linker.
