[LLVMdev] Dynamic Optimization selection for individual functions
Hi All,
I am trying to write a machine learning algorithm that would predict a good
optimization to apply to a given function. I wanted to perform this by
modifying the list of optimizations applied by the FPPassManager based on
some dynamic data.
At present I was trying to do this by modifying the
FPPassManager::runOnFunction(Function) implementation. However this is
causing the following error:

[LLVMdev] Phase Interactions
Dear all,
I am doing few experiments to do understand optimization phase
interactions. Here is a brief description of my experiements.
1. I picked the list of machine independent optimizations acting on
llvm IR (those that are enabled at O3).
2. for each optimzation in the optimization-list

Problem with non-interactive shells on Sol8 with 3.7.1p1
We recently started upgrading OpenSSH on our Sol8 systems and we've run
into a problem were we can run commands on a remote system since we
installed 3.7.1p1. The debug output from sshd is attached below. We use
PAM in our environment, and have since 2.9.9p2. I think most of the
systems were running 3.4p1 prior installing 3.7.1p1 and they were working
- the only thing we replaced was

Problem connecting to v2.9.9p2 on Solaris 8
I ran into a weird problem yesterday where Putty can't connect to my
OpenSSH/Sol box (and still can't ever since). On the Putty side I get the
error message:
"internal fault: chaos in SSH 2 transport layer"
I've attached the "sshd -d -d -d" syslog output.
Any ideas what's going wrong here? From a layman's point of view, it
would appear that Putty and

smbwrapper: what is it?
What's smbwrapper for? It's a --with- option given by ./configure
--help, but none of my docs mention it.

HELP: problem getting Samba to connect - "ERRSRV - ERRinvnetname"?
Dear list readers:
I've installed the most recent Samba from source on my Redhat Linux
server. The simple file share I've made shows up, the machine pings
correctly, and does ftp and apache fine, but won't let anyone login to
Samba. For example:
$ smbclient '//WWW.PSYCH.UDEL.EDU/SIMPLE/' -U me
added interface ip=128.175.41.164 bcast=128.175.41.255 nmask=255.255.255.0

Hi,
Sorry no core dumps, the sshd programme is perfectly happy just fails to
consider changing the password.
Cheers,

Is it possible to record with mixmonitor straight into mp3.
I am trying to reduce disk space and want my calls to be recorded in mp3 Instead of wav.

Linear model, finding the slope
Hi
for some data I working on I am merely plotting time against temperature for
a variable named filmclip. So for example, I have volunteers who watched
various film clips and have used infared camera to monitor the temperature
on their face at every second of the clip.
The variable names I have used are Normalised ( for the temperature) and
Frame (for the time in seconds).
So I have fitted a

Problem compiling 2.9.9p2 on Sol 2.6
It appears that "fixpaths" has "/usr/bin/perl" hard-coded in. This causes
make to fail immediately after running configure.

X11 cookies and forwarding
I'm guess I wasn't following the whole cookies discussion completely
(putting cookies in /tmp to avoid putting them on NFS, etc.), but I
noticed today that with 2.9.9p2, if I use "ssh -X" to start a shell on the
server, in that shell XAUTHORITY is set to /tmp/ssh-XXXXXXXX/cookies and
there are cookies placed there there. These are the "fake" cookies for

[LLVMdev] SCEV bottom value
Hi Preston,
I was wondering ... "Bottom" is a bit overloaded as far as terms go. Would SCEVNaN be a better name for this beast?

FAQ 3.10
I'm having trouble getting any sort of work-around for 3.10 on Solaris 8
with Sun's tcsh. I've tried using "hup" to correct it but to no avail.
This problem wasn't present with ssh version 1 - it just seem to work.
Now we get all kinds of abandoned ssh processes lying around that have to
be manually killed. Does anyone know if there is going to be a fix for
this problem
