[LLVMdev] still failed to build the llbrowse on Debian5-32b-llvm2.8
I still can't build LLBrowse on my Debian5-i386 machine today,
The following is a full build console output.
I am using LLVM-2.8 release build, with needed wxWidgets and CMake.

Could I do some control-flow and dataflow analysis cross files and functions via IR
As mentioned in the title, I want to do some control-flow and dataflow
analysis. I can only find the assignment statement in a function, but the
assigned variable is just a parameter of this function.
For example,

LLBrowse - a GUI tool which allows you to inspect the contents of LLVM
modules - now runs on Linux and OS X, and it works with both LLVM 2.8 and
current LLVM head. I've updated the docs to include instructions on checking
out and building the code under several different environments, which you

[LLVMdev] Clang + SAFECode Release Announcement
John,
The release source code (sc-main.tar) won't compile cleanly under
Debian6-i386 (gcc/g++: 4.4.5).
The compiler back trace is attached.
Please fix it/them and repost.
Or, 64b system is a requirement?

[LLVMdev] Clang + SAFECode Release Announcement
Hi,
My apologies for the trouble.
I've disabled building DynamicTypeChecks for now (r138224) and now it
builds cleanly on 32bit for me here.
As for SAFECode support for 32bit vs 64bit, I believe 32bit should
work just fine although I haven't personally tested this.

[LLVMdev] Where is liveness analysis pass?
Hello all
Currently I want to use the accurate liveness information when writing a *target independent* FunctionPass based on LLVM. The one I can find is LiveValues, a FunctionPass. But it doesn't use classic dataflow equation and can only provide approximate and conservative result. The another one is LiveVariables which use classic data flow equation, but it comes from Clang's analysis

[LLVMdev] Function Pass - Control Flow with uses-iterator
Hey there,
i have a BasicBlock and in this BB i am going over it finding out the "uses"
of each instruction to find out the dataflow, but how do i find out the
control flow?
or like how do i know that the next load function loads from a previous
store function - i cant find this out with the uses iterator because of the
SSA form.

[LLVMdev] Clang + SAFECode Release Announcement
Dear All,
We have a new release of Clang with SAFECode technology for detecting
memory safety errors. Memory safety checking (SAFECode for short) can be
turned on with a single command line switch to clang/clang++. The
SAFECode techniques do not change the behavior of the clang/clang++
compilers in any way when the switch is turned off, so this can be used
as a drop-in replacement for

[LLVMdev] Traditional Dataflow Algorithm
Is there a traditional dataflow algorithm buried in LLVM somewhere? I
need to be able to do some very late transformations (after regalloc)
and we aren't in SSA anymore. I will need a dataflow analysis to ensure
correctness.
At one point I thought I remembered seeing a generic fixed-point
dataflow analysis engine but now I can't find it. Does it still exist
or did it ever exist? If

thank you for your effort, but I'm not sure I understand.
Are you describing a graph traversal problem? Is the data model stored
in a predecessor/successor fashion, which requires you to 'walk' the
graph in order to visit all nodes? (and what happens when you have
disjointed DFGs?).

LLVM (2.7 release version) provides 2 implementations for inlining
function callsites:
- InlineSimple.cpp (-inline): inline simple callsites
according to its cost analysis
- InlineAlways.cpp (-always-inline): inline all callsites that are
marked with "always_inline" attribute.
They are both subclasses of Inline.cpp that assumes the function's
definition (body) is

LLVMers,
I need to intercept all LLVM IR instructions that will write into memory
and start to do analysis on these instructions.
In addition to StoreInst, what are all other IRs that will write into
memory?
E.g.

The LLVM IR for the above code would be:
