[LLVMdev] about NDEBUG
Hi Mr/Mz,
I have built and installed llvm-2.8 in debug mode using:
>SRC_DIR/configure --prefix=INS_DIR --enable-debug-runtime
--disable-optimized --enable-debug-symbols
>make install
It seems the NDEBUG controls a lot of print-out of debug information, by
using DEBUG() or dbgs().
And it is said that NDEBUG is in enabled in debug mode, but I find it does
not work and the -debug option

[LLVMdev] About adding a pass into llvm, cont
Hi,
Thanks for your last reply.
Could I understand the way to adding a pass (built into the llvm rather than
dynamic loadable) includes:
1. Declaring a creator function for this pass
2. Implementing the creator function for this pass
3. Instantiating this pass and get a object of it
3. Register this pass into the PassRegistry
Then, for a built-into bytecode pass,

[PATCH 1/2] Fix assert when NDEBUG defined
Don't use the parameter x in assert(x) if NDEBUG is defined to avoid any
problems where (x) may contain symbols that are only defined if !NDEBUG

Re: DVD-"this projector file is corrupt! Unable to cont
I have the same issue here and using a nativ msvcrt.dll file doesn't.
What's really wierd is that I run this App on an other pc under the same Ubuntu version with the same Wine version and got no problem. Everything went fine and the app runs great.
The only difference is the graphic gard. On the one which works, it's a Nvidia 7300 Go and on the other it's an ATI Radeon Xpress

Samba consuming massive amounts of memory (CONT)
Concerning Samba consuming memory, I forgot to add one thing, sorry.
The process listing does not show Smbd consuming the memory. "free -m" just
reports a drastic increase when I use Samba.

Fw: questions about rpart - cont.
Forgot to specify that the cross-val error cannot be decreased lower than 0.91.
Note that for smaller values of cp than 0.01, the cross-val error increases.
Is the cross-val error sum of squared error or relative error for classification
problem (method = "class" in rpart function) or another type of error?
Is it possible to determine the true positive, false positive using rpart?

HELP with browsing and popups (Cont: Get popups)
I've got plenty of messages about "message command". Please don't talk me about
"message command". I have "message command" in my smb.conf. It seems to be
another problem: I can browse all groups in local network but anyone can't
find me in "Network neighboorhood" in Widows 9x.
I can receive popups only from boxes with samba (Linux boxes) and

FIX for smbtar zero length files... (Cont :)
(Erm, sorry about that...)
I was talking about errors of the type: Got 0 bytes.
The problem was sporatic, and seemed to be load/speed based. That is,
the faster the Linux box, the more errors we had.
A look through clitar.c led me to a solution. Currently, clitar.c is
written to pad a file with zeros if a file read error occurs. This is
normal. All of our errors were of the 0 byte length

ogg123 streaming bug - cont.
Dear list,
a few weeks ago there was a short thread about ogg123 starting to
stutter (http://www.xiph.org/archives/vorbis/200403/0043.html) and
making static noise after streaming music for more than 3.5 hours. I
have a similar problem; i used ices-2.0 to stream a playlist, and after
a couple of hours (sometimes just one hour, sometimes 5 to 8 hours) i
get noise or stutter.
Now one thing i

Samba with ADS (cont.)
Thank you everyone for your advice / suggestions. I have made a little progress, but still not able to map to my share through Active Directory. I wanted to post some of the things that I tried:
Replaced /usr/lib/nss_winbind.so with what was in the source directory for Samba-3.3.3.
Created softlink to /usr/lib/nss_winbind.so.1 from /usr/lib/nss_winbind.so.
Replaced /lib/libnss_winbind.so with

Question: Should we consider valid a variable defined #ifndef NDEBUG scope and used in assert?
Hi,
While audit our code, we found out a strange pattern in one of the LLVM headers and we were wondering if that was expected or if it should be fixed.
Namely the problem looks like this:
#ifndef NDEBUG
// Define some variable.
#endif
assert(/*use this variable, i.e., outside of the ifndef NDEBUG scope*/);
This happens in include/llvm/IR/ValueHandle.h for the variable Poisoned line 494

RE: 8 channel fxo setup outgoing call problem (cont)
Ok, I just got my 8 channel setup to dial out and back in but here is the new issue. It sill dials in fine with all the channels, but dialing out from inside the asterisk system only works on the 1st channel of my 1st TDM400P card.
Now I dont have all 8 PSTN lines going into my asterisk box at this moment, only one line for testing currently, but I should be able to plug that one line into any

NDEBUG in Header Files
Hi everyone,
we have several header files in which the NDEBUG macro is being used. In
some of these, the NDEBUG macro changes the size, the interface, or the
layout of a type. One example is AssertingVH, which turns into a flat,
transparent Value* wrapper in Release build. Now everywhere you use these
headers, the state of the NDEBUG flag must be the same, or else bad things
could happen.

Do they actually have the same peer address?
The connection is pppoe, the gateway is assigned by the ISP and the 3 ADSL
connections next hop is to the same Router at the ISP.
The gateway is the same for all 3 connections
