I am doing backups from a number of machines to an rsync server. For some
time I was trying to come up with a solution, which would prevent users
from peeking at each other's files, which are backed up. Finally, I've

Yes, in fact I'm already using that, and it works fine. The problem
here is that I cannot find a way of recording speech AND listening for
a DTMF digit being pressed as an alternative.
That's where the problem lies.

wbinfo -c duplicate entry
Hi,
With "wbinfo -c user", a entry is created in winbind_idmap.tdb. But if I
retype the same command with same username a second entry (with a
different uid) is created in tdb file.
Is behavior normal ?

PXELinux v 2.00

we are looking at PXELinux to use it for reinstalling PC's.
PXELinux works fine, is such way that the option "LOCALBOOT"
behaves as expected in version 1.76.
v2.00 the "LOCALBOOT 0" doesn't work on some hardware

Briefly: I want to be able to have "press or say (number)", with
Asterisk listening for a spoken number, but accepting a DTMF digit,
too.
I'm posting everything I found so far, here, partly to show working,
but also in case anyone else finds it useful. So, moving on....

Rails doesn''t serve static files in production mode
I just noticed this:
RoR does serve static files on a lighttpd-server just fine - in
development mode. If I set it to production in environment.rb - static
files are not served anymore (like the scaffold.css).
How can I fix this?

New hardware
Hi!
I want to upgrade hardware on my router (iptables, htb, >1000 users).
Now it is
based on usual desktop PC (Intel Prescott P4 3.00 Ghz, 1 Gb RAM). The
reason of hardware upgrade is growing up number of users, also we are
planning to increase upstream link from 100 Mbit/s to 1 Gbit/s.

Problems with network shared printer
Hello!
I'm having problems using my network shared printer. It is connected
to a linux box (via USB) where samba is running. I am using it to
enable my other windows boxes to share a printer.
