[LLVMdev] Analysis Groups in Mainline LLVM
Dear All, What is the appropriate way to create analysis groups when using mainline LLVM? Following the directions in the "Writing an LLVM Pass" doesn't appear to work, and the INITIALIZE_ANALYSIS_GROUP() and INITIALIZE_AG_PASS() macros seem to each call a function defined by the other. -- John T.

[LLVMdev] writing an alias analysis pass?
Hi Matthew, Did you add your alias analysis pass initializeEverythingMustAliasPass() into llvm::initializeAnalysis(PassRegistry &Registry) {} ? This will initialize it linked into the Analysis library. thanks, chen On Apr 28, 2014, at 8:43 PM, Jingyue Wu <jingyue at google.com> wrote: > > > > On Thu, Apr 24, 2014 at 4:38 PM, Matthew O'Connor <thegreendragon at

[LLVMdev] writing an alias analysis pass?
Hi, I'm attempting to do some alias analysis & other memory inspection. I've written a pointless AliasAnalysis pass (that says everything must alias) to attempt to verify that my pass is getting picked up & run by opt. I run opt with: opt -load ~/Applications/llvm/lib/MustAA.so -must-aa -aa-eval -debug < trace0.ll I see my pass being initialized, but never being called (I see

[LLVMdev] example of language with vector as first class type
Hi All Does anyone know any example compiler where it has vector/matrix as first class type like matlab using llvm? If not, does anyone have idea how that should be done on llvm? Naming convention for foreign keys
Hi, In "Agilge Web Development With Rails" on page 217, an example of foreign keys is shown. I am however unable to find a definition of wheater the naming of the index is significant. On the above mentioned page, this line is shown in the example: constraint fk_items_product foreign key (product_id) references products(id) In "fk_items_product", "items" is

[LLVMdev] What is the right way to register an alias analysis pass
Hi everyone, I am wondering what is the right way to register an alias analysis pass. My alias analysis pass is implemented in a dynamic load module. As I can see, a general way to register a pass looks like: llvm::RegisterPass<Analyzer> X("rci", "RCI Pass"); However, registering a type-based analysis uses: INITIALIZE_AG_PASS(...) I think, registering an

[LLVMdev] llvm pass INITIALIZE
Hello everyone, Till now I have succesfully running passes using RegisterPass template. I have encountered a segfault in my pass. Assertion `AA && "AA didn't call InitializeAliasAnalysis in its run method!"' failed. Then, I tried to use INITIALIZE_PASS_XXXX or INITIALIZE_AG_PASS template, together with `*llvm::createMyMemDepPrinter()` and

Registering a MachineFunctionPass
Dear all, I wrote a machine function pass to run with llc. But I get this error while building: "/home/erdem/llvm/lib/CodeGen/CodeGen.cpp:80: error: undefined reference to 'llvm::initializeNoopInserterPass(llvm::PassRegistry&)'" NoopInserter is the name of my pass. I already added this line to InitializePasses.h: "void

Registering a MachineFunctionPass
I had INITIALIZE_PASS_BEGIN and INITIALIZE_PASS_END macros. I replaced them with INITIALIZE_PASS but I get the same error. If I understand correctly, I need to modify Passes.h, InitializePasses.h, and Codegen.cpp files to register my pass, right? Another question is: Is it necessary to have the createNoopInserterPass function? Erdem -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

[LLVMdev] [LLVMDev] Trouble Linking
I'm sorry, I don't know what you were looking for. The first 5 were scattered amidst different e-mails. The others have to do with following what "RAFast" and "RALinScan" as examples. It's a linker error, and I do not know why only opt and bugpoint does not compiler, and why llc does not show my reg alloc pass anymore. It worked before the API change e-mail was

[LLVMdev] Assertion `PI && "Expected required passes to be initialized"' failed for AliasAnalysis.
Hi Alexander, I had the same error: sincos: /home/marcusmae/rpmbuild/BUILD/llvm/lib/VMCore/PassManager.cpp:635: void llvm::PMTopLevelManager::schedulePass(llvm::Pass*): Assertion `PI && "Expected required passes to be initialized"' failed. The solution was to add: PassRegistry &Registry = *PassRegistry::getPassRegistry(); initializeCore(Registry);
