[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Capability of Win32.DLL with ENABLE_SHARED
Hi Takumi, > Any feedbacks are welcome. > Have fun! This seems to be pretty useful addition to LLVM on windows! And it seems the only painless way to make plugins working, yay! For me the patch looks pretty good. One minor thing: could you please rename SharedDir => SharedLibDir Thanks! -- With best regards, Anton Korobeynikov Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, Saint Petersburg

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Capability of Win32.DLL with ENABLE_SHARED
Good summer, all! This patch enables ENABLE_SHARED=1 to build DLL based LLVM toolchain. I have checked this on Cygwin-1.5, Cygwin-1.7, mingw(msysgit) and mingw-cross-fedora12. I can separate this patch into some parts; cleanups, adding definitions and adding rules. Any feedbacks are welcome. Have fun! ...Takumi * Pros - reduction of linking time of toolchain. - capability of -load

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Capability of Win32.DLL with ENABLE_SHARED
Anton, Thanks for your comment. 2nd patch attached. - s/SharedDir/SharedLibDir/g - move prefix=cyg sunk into if(cygwin or mingw) arigato gozaimasu...Takumi * Additional issues - You may build LLVMHello.dll but I don't modify lib/Transforms/Makefile. Because making LLVMHello.dll requires the library LLVM.dll, but it oughta be on the way to making libs at building

[LLVMdev] [patch] EXPORTED_SYMBOL_FILE using mingw and cmake
The new patch works fine, but considering the discussion on the CMake bug tracker, I'm would say that TO_NATIVE_PATH shouldn't be used at all. ________________________________________ From: Dan Liew [dan at su-root.co.uk] Sent: Wednesday, July 23, 2014 10:38 AM To: Mueller-Roemer, Johannes Sebastian Cc: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] [patch] EXPORTED_SYMBOL_FILE using mingw

[LLVMdev] [patch] EXPORTED_SYMBOL_FILE using mingw and cmake
Changing it to only apply to the MinGW-Makefiles generator is maybe the safest method. Though you would have to check if MINGW is only set in the Mingw-Makefiles generator and not In the MSYS-Makefiles or Cygwin generators (should be in the docs). -- Johannes S. [LLVMdev] [patch] EXPORTED_SYMBOL_FILE using mingw and cmake
Hi, this is my first post to this list, so please excuse if submitting a patch without previous discussion is considered bad form or anything similar. I encountered a bug in the CMake build while using MinGW (non-MSYS, non-CYGWIN) where the LTO_export fails with a "The syntax of the command is incorrect" error. This error was previously fixed for Windows in general using

[LLVMdev] [LLVMDev] llc and -debug-only?
Many places in the documentation says the -debug and the -debug-only=... can be used to debug modules. However, I cannot find this option in llc (llvm version 2.8rc, DEBUG build). This doc explicitly uses -debug/-debug-only: http://llvm.org/docs/ProgrammersManual.html#DEBUG_TYPE Thanks, Jeff Kunkel

The currently linked LLVM 2.8 source download (http://llvm.org/releases/2.8/llvm-2.8.tgz) has the version labeled as 2.8rc in Makefile.config instead of just 2.8. Solomon

[LLVMdev] [LLVMDev] llc and -debug-only?
Thanks Duncan, I assume the debug-pass option (the only option with "debug" prepending it) is the correct option. Syslinux 4.02 released
Syslinux 4.02 is a bug fix release, but also adds an experimental new Win64 installer (syslinux64.exe), extends the new syslinux installer CLI to all the installers. Changes in 4.02: * SYSLINUX: correctly handle the case where the -d option is specified with a non-absolute path, i.e. "syslinux -d syslinux" instead of "syslinux -d /syslinux".
