[LLVMdev] Colocation Facility for LLVM?
Can't offer it in the bay area, but i can offer space in oregon state university (which is where the osuosl machines reside). http://osuosl.org/services Why do you need access if you have people willing to handle support tickets and remote console/power control cards? I have yet to see a problem that i could not solve (since the cards can display console, control power to the machine, etc)

Another suggestion I've been given is this: http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/CompileFarm. You wouldn't even have to supply hardware. Neosurge.com
All, I would like to thank the latest donor to the CentOS project: Neosurge.com. We have a nice new, shiny server to help get all those updates out faster. http://www.neosurge.com/ Neosurge has plenty of hosting options from normal website hosting to dedicated / co-located servers. And I can vouch for the speed of the traffic into the datacenters. You can definitely get CentOS pre-installed

[LLVMdev] FW: buildbot failure in llvm on llvm-i686-linux

Why don't the URLs work for you? In this case the problem was just because llvm.org went down. When an "svn" step fails; i.e., the line after "BUILD FAILED:", the problem is usually

[LLVMdev] New buildmaster is up and running
Hello everyone, LLVM buildmaster is up and running as lab.llvm.org:8011. Daniel Berlin is working on getting the current buildslave passwords from the old buildmaster, but this may not be possible. I'd suggest changing buildslave passwords anyway, just in case. Buildslave owners, please contact me directly with your new passwords and I'll update the master as soon as I can. Thanks

[LLVMdev] [Zorg] Reorganisation, documentation and other issues
Hi All, Recent conversations [1][2] would suggest we need to rethink zorg or at the very least improve the documentation. I've CC'ed Daniel Dunbar, Galina Kistanova and Duncan Sands because it seemed that they have contributed the most code to Zorg Organisation ========= The current organisation of the Zorg repository doesn't make a huge amount of sense from my perspective. [LLVMdev] Buildbot now up and new build failures
I set up a buildbot for llvm at http://google1.osuosl.org:8011/waterfall It builds every single revision of llvm, runs the testsuite, and reports the results. It takes about 3 minutes per build+test right now (it's an 8 core machine). Currently i have it building x86_64-linux. Setting up a builder/slave for any platform would be trivial. I simply don't have machines running anything but

Google Ads in the Wiki
A fairly serious question: how much can we (as users) donate to get the Google ads off the Wiki? I guess this does not give so much revenue, and it is really distracting. So, if we can match the annual income of Google Ads on the Wiki, I think I (and others) are willing to compensate this with donations. I have seen some potential Dutch users getting turned away seeing the main CentOS site

R Founding
A few days ago Tal Galili posted a message about some controversies concerning the future of R. Having read the discussions, especially those following Ross Ihaka's post, I have come to the conclusion, that, as usual, the problem is money. I doubt there would be discussions about dropping R in its present form if the R-Foundation were properly funded and could hire computer scientists,

Donations to Xiph
I have a few thoughs and questions about donating to Xiph that I hop you have a minute for. Here we go: == "Who donated what" list == As it seems we don't have a "Who donated what" list. I thought creating such a list could increase motivation to donate to some parties. What I currently have in mind would be to start listing donations from now on below the current content

centos friends?
Hello All, I want to ask about CentOS and money. Please do not start some kind of shitstorm over this, it isn't productive. I have just been looking at archive.org to see when the paypal option went missing from the donate menu at centos.org. I can't pin it down, but it was there on October 16, 2010 and isn't now, so that's the information I have on that point. There was a

The compile farm is a set of machines that is shared between different users. They are great to try your code on different architectures, but the level of control is a lot lower than the level you get from
