[LLVMdev] Intrinsic prototype has incorrect number of arguments!
I have created the function prototype with the following code: const uintmax_t methodNameSize = 1024; const char methodNameTemplate[] = "llvm.memcpy.p0i%llu.p0i%llu.i%llu"; char methodName[methodNameSize]; // Create the methodName. memset(methodName, 0, methodNameSize); sprintf(methodName, methodNameTemplate, dstSize, srcSize, lengthSize); // Search for the

[LLVMdev] ASM output with JIT / codegen barriers
In working on an LLVM backend for SBCL (a lisp compiler), there are certain sequences of code that must be atomic with regards to async signals. So, for example, on x86, a single SUB on a memory location should be used, not a load/sub/store sequence. LLVM's IR doesn't currently have any way to express this kind of constraint (...and really, that's essentially impossible since

[LLVMdev] LLVM-C tutorial

ActionWebService: XMLRPC Server Multicall possible?
Hi all, I have a question concerning ActionWebService XMLRPC servers: Is it possible to send multicall requests to the Web service? I tried to use multicall and get the error message: no such method ''system.multicall'' on API [MyAPI] In Changeset 2021 there is the following commit message: add ''system.multicall'' support to XML-RPC. boxcarred methods must

If you have llvm IR then you can use 'llc' to generate c code. Try $ llc <input_llvm_ir> -march=c -o /tmp/output.c This C backend is implemented in llvm/lib/Target/CBackend - Devang

[LLVMdev] LLVM-C Patch : LLVMConvertModuleToC
I don't see why not. C is a worthy language, one that I think we should fully support. And by just providing some minor features really limits its usefulness. Right now, at this very instance it isn't usable. Except as a stepping stone to the bigger framework. But thats just my 2 cents. - Filip On 16 Sep 2010, at 19:51, Eric Christopher wrote: > > On Sep 16, 2010, at 5:35 AM, F

Documenting S4 Methods
I'm in the process of converting some S3 methods to S4 methods. I have this function : setGeneric("enrichmentCalc", function(rs, organism, seqLen, ...){standardGeneric("enrichmentCalc")}) setMethod("enrichmentCalc", c("GenomeDataList", "BSgenome"), function(rs, organism, seqLen, ...) { ... ... ... })

[PATCH] XML-RPC: Cope with large integers on x86-64 systems
Attached patch fixes a problem in marshaling large integers. It seems to only occur on systems with very large memory. However, on those systems, it''s a show-stopper. I see this as a temporary solution until we can sanitize the XML-RPC functions and get rid of all the S-Expression stuff. I''ll run xm-test tomorrow against it. Right now I''ve only done basic

[LLVMdev] LLVM-C: Calling functions contained in other libraries
Hello, I have a question concerning llvm-c. I have set up a function that needs to invoke an external method, in a other library. It has the following signature: void* NSFullUserName(void); The void* can be replaced with a i8*, that far I was able to get, but when my call is invoked, the engine gives me the following message: LLVM ERROR: Tried to execute an unknown external function: i8* ()*

That won't work when you are trying to limit yourself to C and only C. Is there an LLVM-C alternative?
