[LLVMdev] Error Building LLVM on AIX 6
Dear Patrick, Documentation on some AIX routines to do the same thing can be found at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/comphelp/v8v101/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.xlcpp8a.doc/proguide/ref/dynamic_load.htm. Interestingly enough, the same page suggests that AIX does, in fact, support dlopen() and friends for POSIX compatibility. You might need to find out if there's a header file or a

AIX + ogg123
Has anyone managed to get ogg123 to compile in AIX? I'm got an RS6k with a PPC 604e, running AIX 4.3.3. I can get libogg, libvorbis, libao, oggenc (so, everything _but_ ogg123) to compile just fine. I'm using gcc, thankfully, and not the native IBM compilers. I believe the problem to be with the linker. By default gcc for AIX doesn't use the GNU linker, but the standard AIX

[LLVMdev] [PowerPC] ABI questions
Hi all, I'm trying to understand which ABIs are supported in the PowerPC backend and I'm getting a bit confused. Here's what I've gathered so far alongside with some questions. - In PPCSubtarget.h there's DarwinABI, SVR4ABI and ELFv2ABI. - The CodeGenerator documentation claims that the AIX PowerPC ABI is followed (with some deviations). Is this refering to the DarwinABI? -

[LLVMdev] Linux/ppc backend
Nicolas, Would you point me to the Linux/PPC ABI documents you are using so I can better judge what your restrictions are? These changes also have an effect on debugging and exception handling. [LLVMdev] Linux/ppc backend
Hi Jim, I didn't use any documents, but intensively looked at gcc's output. I think this document: http://refspecs.freestandards.org/elf/elfspec_ppc.pdf is the last specification of the ABI.
