[LLVMdev] Is there a guide to LLVM's components?
One thing that helps me understand complex software is a dependency graph. I found an LLVM dependency graph at https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/llvm/tags/RELEASE_16/docs/UsingLibraries.html#dependencies but it's really messy and hard to follow. From that graph I made a cleaner graph by hand (attached)... sorry about the fax-quality scan. But I have some questions about it... -

can't build/run after adding lib to Fibonacci example, even reverting the complete llvm tree does not help

Oh, so it looks like I hit a bit of a wall there :-) I’ll take a look thanks. That bug talks about R_ARM_THM_CALL which I assume are thumb related. I've successfully used Peter's patches to get past those relocation errors. The bottom of the bug has the revision numbers (e.g. D34035). That one corresponds to e.g. https://reviews.llvm.org/D34035 There's also https://reviews.llvm.org/D34634 which contains all of Peter's patches, but it's not going to rebase cleanly once the individual patches start going in. At a guess that looks like your llvm and lld checkouts are not quite in synch. It will be worth updating llvm and lld to top of trunk. I've rebased the consolidated patch https://reviews.llvm.org/D34634 this morning, it might be worth trying that if you are seeing problems. [LLVMdev] Cygwin patch
I have the PIC stuff building properly on Cygwin now, patch attached. But unfortunately it does not pass the test/Feature/load_module.ll test in 'make check' though, that needs debugging at some stage, but I have wasted enough time on this patch now, atleast SVN LLVM should compile on Cygwin now. [LLVMdev] Minor correction to the Visual Studio documentation
I checkout LLVM and clang from SVN, then use CMake to generate project files for Visual Studio 2010 (I started with 2008). The LLVM project compiles successfully and gives me all the tools including Clang. For a few tests, I compile C++ code with Clang which if I need to I link, I use MinGW's ld passing all the relevant object files and libraries including correctly ordering the start-up code

Just to clarify - I can build successfully except that the following files are always determined to be out of date by VC++ intrinsics_gen - Debug Win32 X86CodeGenTable_gen - Debug Win32 LLVMOxiliCodeGen - Debug Win32 I just need to start a debug build of llc to reproduce this issue and with cmake generated files. If no one else has this problem, then it might be my environment. Otherwise I can
