[LLVMdev] trying to build llvm-gcc for arm, error: 'V1DI_pointer_node' undeclared (first use in this function)
You need to configure with --enable-llvm.
(It would still be nice if V1DI_pointer_node was defined; I'll take a look at that.)

This means that the compiler is built for ARMv4 which is not pretty
good supported.

[LLVMdev] linker errors when trying to link llvm-gcc
Hi Anatoly,

it sounds like you are trying to build a version of llvm-gcc without LLVM
enabled. Did you specify --enable-llvm=path_to_llvm_build_directory when
configuring llvm-gcc? These symbols are all defined in llvm-gcc itself,
but only when ENABLE_LLVM is defined.

[LLVMdev] another llvm-gcc-4.2 compilation problem
hi,
i also have problems compiling llvm-gcc (current svn version).
llvm is current llvm svn.
i tried to use every gcc version from 4.0 to 4.3 to compile llvm-gcc.
i configured llvm-gcc like this (and tried every other combination of
disable-shared, disable-multilib and bootstrap) :
../llvm-gcc/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-llvm=/usr
--enable-languages=c,c++ --disable-shared

Hmm, here EmitBuiltinAlloca gets called twice, but it looks like
validate_arglist is rejecting the args both times.
I have 2 calls to alloca generated:
$ grep alloca x.bc|grep call
%tmp21 = call i8* @alloca( i64 %tmp20 ) nounwind

build error : xapian-core-0.9.4_svn6707
I posted this message first. But it was missing so I post again.
I think there is a some bug in build configration files.
Can you check up the following errors and fix it?
The error has no concern with UTF-8 patch.
Environment : CentOS 4.3 x86_64

[LLVMdev] gfortran: link error building gfortran on linux
Hi, in trying to build an llvm-gfortran on linux from today's gcc4
SVN, I get the following link errors that didn't show up on OS X. This
is also using LLVM CVS from this morning.
They appear to mostly be related to CodeWarrior compatibility code,
but a couple are less obvious.
What's the best way to fix this? I'm stuck without my powerbook for at
least three weeks and I'd

This looks like you're compiling llvm-gcc3, which is quite dead by now.
Please follow these instructions:

[LLVMdev] Compiling llvm-gcc in linux/ppc
Hi everyone, I am using linux/ppc and after porting llvm's jit for this
architecture, I am currently trying to compile llvm-gcc on it.
I have gcc 4.1.1 and use llvm-gcc from cvs.
Compilation fails and the message is:

-Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -pedantic

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc's sjlj-eh support
Hi,
many people suggest that if we want llvm to support sjlj-eh, we
should modify the llvm-gcc to generate sjlj-style IR.
yeah, I'm digging into the llvm-gcc now. there are some functions,
at the llvm-gcc
e.g
TreeToLLVM::CreateExceptionValues() ,
BasicBlock *TreeToLLVM::getPostPad(unsigned RegionNo),
void TreeToLLVM::EmitLandingPads(),
void TreeToLLVM::EmitPostPads() ,

After a svn/cvs update I get the following errors when building the frontend.
Anyone that sees the same ?
