libc++ failed to link against musl
I'm trying to build LLVM, Clang, LLD, compiler-rt, libc++, libc++abi and libunwind with musl-based toolchain. The configuration is the following: LIBCXX_HAS_MUSL_LIBC=ON LIBCXX_HAS_GCC_S_LIB=OFF CLANG_DEFAULT_CXX_STDLIB=libc++ CLANG_DEFAULT_LINKER=lld CLANG_DEFAULT_RTLIB=compiler-rt LLVM_DEFAULT_TARGET_TRIPLE=x86_64-pc-linux-musl LLVM_TARGET_ARCH=x86_64

+glider The compiler hardly matters here, I would expect the same failures with clang. [LLVMdev] radr://12777299, "potential pthread/eh bug exposed by libsanitizer"
Nick, Can you take a quick look at the asan_eh_bug.tar.bz testcase I uploaded into the newly opened radr://12777299, "potential pthread/eh bug exposed by libsanitizer". The FSF gcc developers have ported llvm.org's asan code into FSF gcc (and are keeping it synced to the upstream llvm.org code). I have been helping with the darwin build and testing -fsanitize=address against the

[LLVMdev] libstdc++ as bytecode, again
Okay, let's try this again. I've taken all the source and header files needed to build libstdc++ and libsupc++, and put together a small and very simple Makefile that automates the process. Anyone interested can grab the whole thing from here: http://goanna.cs.rmit.edu.au/~emil/dietstdcxx.1.tar.bz2 (101KB) Usage instructions: 1) Run GNU make: $ gmake This will produce dietstdcxx.bc

Crash occurs where EventMachine.connect is
Hi everyone, If you subclass EventMachine::Connection and call it outside an EventMachine::run event loop, EventMachine crashes! Example: class Put < EventMachine::Connection include EventMachine::Deferrable HOST="localhost" PORT=8080 def self.request(data) EventMachine.connect(HOST, PORT, self) {|c| c.instance_eval { @data = data } } end #

how to auto-report LLVM bugs found by fuzzing?
Hi, We have several llvm fuzz targets running on OSS-Fuzz, a continuous automated fuzzing service: https://github.com/google/oss-fuzz https://www.usenix.org/sites/default/files/conference/protected-files/usenixsecurity17_slides_serebryany.pdf It has reported a few bugs in cxa_demangler, clang, and dwarfdump already, and we expect to add more fuzz targets to it soon (llvm-isel-fuzzer,

Build Clang/LLVM for AVR
Thank you for both of your input. Yes, I try to cross-compile for AVR, the simple ATMEGA328P used in every Arduino Uno. My main motivation being that I hope to be able to use a couple of STL containers, <functional> and <type_traits> on the MCU. Not sure though if this can be reached by going via the clang route. Getting back to the compilation: when I run clang with both both

Xapian 1.2.0 build fails on libxapian.la target - Solaris 9 (SunOS 5.9) sun4u SPARC
Hi all, I've only pasted the last few lines of where the Xapian build fails below (the entire piece is 6639 lines long). I didn't get any warnings regarding zlib or libuuid from configure, so I'm assuming I have compatible versions. I am using libtool 2.2.6b, GNU ld 2.20.2010303. I know gcc 3.3.2 is a little behind the times, but I see the the documentation the minimum requirement is

IMAP stops responding.
Hiya all, I've experienced that IMAP/IMAPS stops responding. To restore service there is only one way, restart Dovecot completely. This leads to services being interrupted for some people, so it seems to only affect some of the users on the server. But POP3/POP3s is still running happily. Also, it happens more as we approach Rush Hour. All of this leads me to believe that we're facing a

Fatal: nfs flush requires mail_fsync=always
Hiya all, I'm seeing this "Fatal: nfs flush requires mail_fsync=always" error on my testbed. The issue is that from what I can see, mail_fsync is set to always : # doveconf -n | grep mail_fs mail_fsync = always The result is that the client does not connect at all, which is not really what I wanted to happen :) Any idea what is going wrong here? Best regards S?ren P. Skou

[LLVMdev] InstructionCombining forgets alignment of globals
Hi all, The InstructionCombining pass causes alignment of globals to be ignored. I've attached a replacement of Fibonacci.cpp which reproduces this (I used 2.3 release). Here's the x86 code it produces: 03C20019 movaps xmm0,xmmword ptr ds:[164E799h] 03C20020 mulps xmm0,xmmword ptr ds:[164E79Ah] 03C20027 movaps xmmword ptr ds:[164E799h],xmm0 03C2002E
