[LLVMdev] sqlite3 crashing jit
Hello,
I'm trying to compile sqlite3 using llvm-gcc, then run it with lli. I've attached a Makefile and a main.c that simply invokes sqlite3_initialize(). You'll need to download sqlite3 (it was too big to attach) and copy main.c and the Makefile into the directory where sqlite3.c is [Link: sqlite-amalgamation-3_7_0_1.zip <http://www.sqlite.org/sqlite-amalgamation-3_7_0_1.zip>

sqlite3 is part of LLVM testsuite, so it shouldn't crash ...

See if you can get a stack trace using the directions there.
I had followed the directions on that page with llvm 2.6 to no avail.
The Makefile I posted does use

transcript a matlab code in R
Dear R-users,
I am trying to translate a matlab code for calculating the Local Whittle
estimator in time series with long memory originally written by Shimotsu and
available free in his webpage (
http://www.econ.queensu.ca/pub/faculty/shimotsu/ )
The Matlab code is

[LLVMdev] sqlite3 crashing jit
I'm trying to get a stacktrace, so I can't provide one.
I'm trying llvm 2.7 right now. I'm hoping there's a 2.6 workaround, though.

reducing smbd memory footprint
I'm currently compiling Samba 3.3.X with the following:

--with-fhs \
--enable-shared \
--prefix=/usr \
--sysconfdir=/etc \

SEGV on FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE with 2.6.2
I'm getting a SEGV on a FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE box. The client is Solaris
9/SPARC. Both boxes run 2.6.2.
The command I'm running is:
$ rsync -arHRv --numeric-ids --delete --exclude=/opt/dist/cdrom \
[paths] [server]:[path]
If I whittle down what appears in [paths], then it works.
$ gdb rsync rsync.core
gdb> bt

R bug or ghostscript bug or my bug?
Dear R developers:
The following R program produces a pdf file that does not survive
ghostscript distillation correctly. The undistilled version is at
http://welch.econ.brown.edu/temp/try.PDF while the distilled version
is at http://welch.econ.brown.edu/temp/try.pdf . When previewed, the
points are wrong in the distilled .pdf version, but only in one of the
two points invokations (huh?) . The

Yeah, I've been using those but they're real hard to understand with big

Installing Packages
Hi.. I am using R as a user, another group built everything I am using. But I need to install some packages and my only internet access is via a web-proxy. I have hunted though the docs and I'm not finding anything on setting a proxy in the package install command. Any help would be really appreciated.

Cross Realm Support
I am doing some testing in Samba 3.0. I am using security=ADS.
I am wondering if Samba has any support for cross-realm trust.
For example, I have one AD forest SANDIA.GOV that has trust with
SANDIA2.GOV. I have the Samba server on linux.sandia2.gov. I have a local
user account on linux.sandia2.gov called user. When I log into a win2k
client as SANDIA2.GOV/user and connect, it works fine.

fSeries Package
Dear All;
I have used fbmSim to simulate a fbm sequence, however, when I tried to
estimate the Hurst effect, none of the nine procedures gave me an answer
close enough to the real value, which is 0.5 (n=1000). So, would you please
advice,
1. which is the best method to estimate the H among the 9 mehods, R/S,
higuchi or Whittle?
2. how to choose the levels (default=50), minnpts, cutoff values or

get_peername - start_server vs. connect
Hi,
On windows, get_peername works both with connections obtained
via start_server, and connections obtained via connect.
On linux, get_peername seems to only work with connections
obtained via start_server.
(I''m using svn HEAD.)
I''m wondering which is the intended behavior?
(I realize get_peername is less useful for connections obtained
via connect, since one should already

exponent.
If yes then please show me the way. I am newbie in the world of chaos.
