Removing "fno-rtti" flag from llvm-config --cxxflags
Hi everyone, I just had a question - I am aware that LLVM supports it's own form of RTTI ( using dyn_cast<>() ,etc) but I wish to use C++ RTTI currently. I have tried building with "cmake -G "Unix Makefiles" -LLVM_ENABLE_RTTI=ON" but that doesnt seem to remove the "fno-rtti" flag from llvm-config and I still get an error when I try using

[LLVMdev] llvm-config --cxxflags does not give the result the configuration script wants?
I got your point. Thank you, and I'd like to provide the relative message now. But firstly, what do you mean by the "relevant command generated by your makefile"? What I can tell you now is: The Error Message: make[3]: Entering directory `/home/tang.kk/ppcg/ppcg/isl/interface' CXXLD extract_interface extract_interface.o:(.data.rel.ro._ZTI13MyASTConsumer[typeinfo for

[LLVMdev] LLVM 3.2 compilation with RTTI enabled
Hi all, I'm having problems compiling LLVM 3.2 with RTTI enabled. Since my code makes heavy use of the Boost libraries, RTTI is a must. This is the script I use to compile (as root): SRC_ROOT=$PWD OBJ_ROOT=/export/apps/llvm INSTALL_ROOT=/usr/local mkdir -p $OBJ_ROOT cd $OBJ_ROOT $SRC_ROOT/configure --prefix=$INSTALL_ROOT \

-fno-rtti compilation option
Hi all, Sorry to bother you guys with this question coming from a young beginner, but even after some hours of research, I could not find any way to solve my issue... I have a project using LLVM APIs (3.7.0), so I compile it with options suggested by 'llvm-config -cxxflags', including -fno-rtti. Without this latter option, the build fails ("no reference to typeinfo...").

[LLVMdev] llvm-config --cxxflags does not give the result the configuration script wants?
Hello LLVM-DEV! Recently I think I found a bug in llvm's CMakeLists.(I use llvm 3.1svn and Clang 3.1) I follow the normal way to try to compile an application that utilize both clang and llvm: I ./autogen.sh it, ./configure it and make it. But the make fails. At last I found out the failure is because that the Makefile's CXXFLAGS does not contain -fno-rtti option which is needed by the

[LLVMdev] typeinfo for llvm::MCAsmInfo is missing
I've actually tried to compile both LLVM and my lib with -frtti with same results. Hi, We found `llvm-config --cxxflags' does not have -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti when using cmake to build LLVM. Does anyone know how to fix it? [LLVMdev] [PATCH] Fix weak/linkonce linkage in execution engine
Hi, I've had problem with a program using LLVM that tried to dynamic_cast objects created in the JIT execution engine, from the native part of the program (for the curious, the program is PinaVM http://gitorious.org/pinavm/pages/Home). I've narrowed down the issue to the linkage of weak_odr and linkonce_odr symbols, used for the vtables, and that _must_ be unique for dynamic_cast to
