[LLVMdev] llvm.org outage
Dear LLVMers, There is some scheduled network outages detailed below that affect the llvm.org servers and LLVM Mailing lists. The LLVM server is housed on the fourth floor. I am not sure which rooms house the mailing list servers. All times are Central Standard Time. If someone from Illinois can distill the relevant parts of this message for LLVM users, I would be most appreciative. I am out

--link-dest
Clearly I'm missing something about --link-dest; I know it works because rsnapshot is doing the right thing on this system, but it's not on another system, and I'm trying to troubleshoot that. The first step is to be able to verify that --link-dest works on it, but I can't even get it to work in an known-good environment --- no matter how I specify the args to it, it's

Floor codebooks vs. Residue codebooks
Hi, Please brace yourselves for some possibly stupid questions. Why are there only 2 codebooks for floors and many more for residue values? What makes the encoding of floor values fundamentally different from encoding residue values? I have a basic understanding of VQ, and looking at the floor decode function, it all makes sense 1) Read the codebook index from the stream 2) Do a

Floor type 0 and residues type 0 and 1
Hi, it seems to me as if all vorbis-files only contain floors of type 1 and residues of type 2. Is it possible to "force" the encoder to somehow create a vorbis-file with the other floor and residue types? What could cause rsync to kill ssh?
Rsync 3.2.7 is running on the Gentoo computer, which doesn't have a version, other than it's "current". I'm running the script from this computer. Rsync 3.1.2 is on the source computer, where the files come from, which is Ubuntu 18.0.4.6. I'm copying to a CIFS share mounted on the Gentoo computer. The rsync scripts are all similar to this one: /usr/bin/rsync -v -a

Not an IMAP4 Server?
I've been testing alpha4, and every once in a while my client (Thunderbird 1.5 RC1) tells me the dovecot isn't a valid IMAP4 server. This is usually (maybe always) when I first bring up the client up. If I just ask the client to get the mail again, it does so happily (without any errors). I must say I found dovecot as a pleasant surprise. We have been using UW. Which didn't

nfs locking issues...
I'm running Dovecot 1.1 RC1. I believe I've done all the due diligence for making things working correctly over nfs. But I run into locking issues if I run over nfs. procmail is doing the delivery over nfs. uw-imap was ruining over nfs. dovecot is fine if its on the nfs server (i.e. it has local access to the disk, no nfs) I run into lock deadlocks if I run dovecot over nfs Users

[LLVMdev] Building APA
Hey, I think I might be having a build problem. I says here [https://agora.cs.illinois.edu/display/llvmgroup/Automatic+Pool+Allocation] to load LLVMDataStructure.so and poolalloc.so when using "opt" to perform pool allocation. However, I don't have poolalloc.so -- only poolalloc.o. Does anyone know why this might be? --Patrick

Compiling libspeex for Blackfin
Hi all, I'm trying to run speex on the Blackfin processor. I'm not familiar with programming/compiling/linking at all, but I guess the first thing I need is libspeex compiled for Blackfin, so that my program can use the library functions. I've downloaded the source files (version 1.1.10) from www.speex.org and I've been trying to compile libspeex from within VisualDSP++, but it
