[LLVMdev] converting large projects to LLVM
Hi, I wrote an interprocedural instrumentation pass that needs to run on all program at once. However, when I try to test it on large programs (say bzip2 or gcc) I find that the way LLVM tools do not easilly replace the default ones used in makefiles. So building large projects is not straightforward. Is there a simple way to do this conversion? Thank you, Dan

[LLVMdev] whole program bitcode and gold plugin
Hi, I found some posts on the topic of whole program bitcode and gold plugin. I put lto_codegen_write_merged_modules(cg, "/path/to/output.bc") into gold-plugin.cpp all_symbols_read_hook() and compiled one autotooled program (ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/diction/diction-1.11.tar.gz) as described in the gold plugin document, however, I still did not see the output.bc. Can anyone has

Install vTPM on Xen-4.2.2
Hi, I‘m trying to install vTPM based on Xen-4.2.2, linux-kernel 3.9.1 (Dom0) and TPM emulator. However, I cannot find the TPM backed driver in this version of Dom0 linux kernel. There is no CONFIG_XEN_TPMDEV_BACKEND in the kernel config file. The config file for Dom0 is attached. Maybe it provides some useful information. So, how to install a Xen TPM backend driver in the Dom0 linux-kernel.

Can not boot the OVMF
Hi Attilio I have updated to the upstream Xen and try to boot into OVMF bios. Instead of fetching the OVMF code from the git mirror, I just copy the OVMF bios to ovmf directory. I use the bios="ovmf" in the HVM config file. But, there is an error when I create the domain. root@gavin-laptop:~# xl create hvm_ubuntu.hvm Parsing config file /root/hvm_ubuntu.hvm WARNING: specifying

[LLVMdev] strace for whole-program bitcodes
Yes,but when I just simply replace lto_codegen_compile(cg, ...) with lto_codegen_write_merged_modules(cg, "/path/to/output.bc") in the gold-plugin.cpp to see if it will generate a correct bc file, the llvm-gcc/llvm-g++ will call the native ld in the linking step, which causes the failture because of that ld can not recognize an object file which contains LLVM's IL. I understand the

Errors of doing "make install-tools" with xen-4.2-unstable?
Hi, When I do the "make install-tools" with xen-4.2-unstable, there are some errors about "warn_unused_result". Is it the error in code or the error in the compiling environment? Thank you so much. gcc -O1 -fno-omit-frame-pointer -m64 -g -fno-strict-aliasing -std=gnu99 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wdeclaration-after-statement -D__XEN_TOOLS__ -MMD -MF .tapdisk-queue.o.d

[LLVMdev] strace for whole-program bitcodes
Thank you for the reply, but I meant that when we building,we can not use the native tools such ar and as to process the llvm files,we must have the ability to call llvm-ar and llvm-as instead of the native ones. 在 2009-10-17六的 19:35 -0700,Nick Lewycky写道: > zhunan wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I don't think just use gold-plugin even modified is enough for the task > > of

[PATCH] Replace bios_relocate hook with bios_load hook in hvmloader
Hi, These set of patches are affected by replacing bios_relocate hook with bios_load hook in hvmloader. The patches for code files config.h and hvmloader.c also contains part of the contents of Enabling UEFI BIOS(OVMF) support in Xen-unstable HVM. Is there any problem with these patches? [LLVMdev] Is -m32 supported by llvm-gcc when using LTO/gold?
I have gold from cvs, and llvm-gcc/llvm from svn. My platform is Ubuntu 9.04 x86_64. I've configured llvm-gcc with "--enable-multilib". When compiling the LTO example from http://llvm.org/docs/LinkTimeOptimization.html I have no problems with 64-bit compilation, but get the following with -m32. luked at node:~/tests/lto$ make USE32=1 llvm-gcc -m32 -c -o main.o main.c llvm-gcc

How to set ''Return-Path'' in ActionMailer to avoid SPF failure?
I was wondering if there was any way to set the ''Return-Path'' of an email when using ActionMailer. Without the ability to set the ''Return-Path'' of an email, it is impossible to avoid being labeled as ''spam'' by many SMTP gateways if trying to send mail on another''s behalf. SPF doesn''t care about the
