[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc4.2-2.5 front-end build problems on SunOS
Hello all,
I am trying to install the llvm-gcc front end to use it in one of my
projects, but I got stuck.. I am working on a Sun workstation:
SunOS xxx 5.10 Generic_137137-09 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240
and I have gcc version 3.4.6:
Reading specs from /sw/gcc-3.4.6/lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.10/3.4.6/specs
Configured with: /.scratch/andjo/lsw/src/gcc/gcc-3.4.6/configure

[LLVMdev] problems running test suite (-mllvm -disable-llvm-optzns)
I'm trying to run some of the test suite using the instructions here:
http://llvm.org/docs/TestingGuide.html#quicktestsuite
I've built llvm myself, but I'm using pre-built binaries of llvm-gcc
(from http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.5/llvm-gcc4.2-2.5-x86-linux-RHEL4.tar.gz).
Here's what happens:

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc 2.5 libexec installed without program-prefix
I build llvm-gcc as:
../llvm-gcc4.2-2.5.source/configure --enable-languages=c,c++ --program-
prefix=llvm
So it should install into /usr/local/... but add llvm- prefix. This is so
llvm-gcc is found by llvm
(http://llvm.org/releases/2.5/docs/GettingStarted.html claims that's what it
is looking for)
and also so there will be no conflict with system gcc.
But I see:

[LLVMdev] 2.5 Pre-release2 available for testing
LLVMers,
The 2.5 pre-release2 is finally available for testing:
http://llvm.org/prereleases/2.5/
If you have time, I'd appreciate anyone who can help test the release.
Please do the following:
1) Download/compile llvm source, and either compile llvm-gcc source or
use llvm-gcc binary (please compile llvm-gcc with fortran if you can).
2) Run make check, send me the testrun.log
3) Run

[LLVMdev] Problem when build LLVM
According to your description i should not use the system libstdc++ and i
need to
specify the OTHER compiler libstdc++. But i don't where the OTHER compiler
libstdc++ is.
Is the OTHER compiler libstdc++ contained in llvm-2.5.tar.gz? if not where
can i get it?

[LLVMdev] Does mips backend support variable arguments in release version(llvm-2.6)?
Hi everyone,
It seems variable arguments is not support by mips backend in llvm-2.6.

llc func.bc -relocation-model=static -march=mips -O0 -o func.s

[LLVMdev] Problem when build LLVM
Hi,
When i make LLVM with llvm-2.5.tar.gz an error occurs. The step is below
tar -zxvf llvm-2.5.tar.gz
cd llvm-2.5-tar.gz
make ENABLE_OPTIMIZED=1
Then then the error is:
/tools/IUS611/tools/lib/libgcc_s.so.1: version `GCC_4.2.0' not found
(required by /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6)
What shall i do to avoid it?
I am a newbie, maybe it's a foolish question

Make sure to follow the README.LLVM file in the llvm-gcc distro. llvm-
gcc doesn't support gcj yet at all.
