[LLVMdev] Compilation error while cross compiling LLVM for ARM - the __clear_cache issue
Hi all, with reference to the reply below, I downloaded toolchain from codesourcery (arm-2009q1-203-arm-none-linux-gnueabi) with gcc 4.3.3... when i compile llvm+clang with this toolchain i am getting the following error make[4]: Entering directory `/home/prasanth/LLVM_ARM/llvm-with-armgcc433/llvm-obj/tools/clang/tools/c-index-test' llvm[4]: Linking Release executable c-index-test (without

[LLVMdev] LLVM-GCC build failed
Hi      I am using LLVM and LLVM-GCC from SVN (version number: 122880). And I am using arm-2009q1-176-arm-none-linux-gnueabi-i686-mingw32.tar.bz2 or arm-2007q3-51-arm-none-linux-gnueabi-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2. I tried the automated scripts (create-snapshots.sh and build-install-linux.sh) that are in the LLVM repository for building crosstoll for ARM

[LLVMdev] libSystem, __clear_cache(), FreeBSD and ARM
Hi folks, I just tried to build LLVM on FreeBSD/arm. It looks like libSystem doesn't build and requires the following hack: --- lib/System/Memory.cpp +++ lib/System/Memory.cpp @@ -61,7 +61,7 @@ for (intptr_t Line = StartLine; Line < EndLine; Line += LineSize) asm volatile("icbi 0, %0" : : "r"(Line)); asm volatile("isync"); -# elif defined(__arm__)

[LLVMdev] [PATCH][Compiler-rt] Windows implementation of mmap functionality in clear_cache_test and enable_execute_stack_test
Hi, Attached is a patch for compiler-rt to allow it to compile with MinGW-w64 on Windows. Results aren't that bad. x86 GCC and Clang do everything right, all tests pass. x86_64 GCC fails a lot of tests. This is 99% sure a codegen issue. 38 - fixunssfti_test (Failed) 74 - fixunsdfti_test (Failed) x86_64 Clang fails these tests: 2 - udivmodti4_test (SEGFAULT) 6 - fixdfti_test (Failed) 8 -

[LLVMdev] Using LLVM as a crosscompiler
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, After hearing Chris' talk at bossaconference I wanted to see if I could use LLVM (and/or llvm-gcc) as a crosscompiler for ARM. The documentation beautifully outlines how to build it for your host and how to crosscompile it, but not how to build it as a cross-compiler. So my question is: How should I build llvm and llvm-gcc4 to have it

[LLVMdev] ARM __clear_cache fix for compiler-rt when compiling Python
Hi all I received the following patch for compiling ctypes module for Python on FreeBSD from Keith White (I'm in no position to judge this fix, I'm just passing it on). Is there anyone on this list being able to commit this code? This builtin should call __clear_cache() from whatever

[LLVMdev] dragonegg arm patch
Hi Duncan, I made a patch for dragonegg. This patch is for dragonegg to generate arm assembly code. Dragonegg is compiled with this patch after building gcc-4.6 as cross compiler for arm and then dragonegg can generate arm assembly code. It currently makes errors to build dragonegg and llvm from svn. so I made a patch using dragonegg-3.0 source code. (This patch doesn't support

[LLVMdev] hi, I can't find information about how to cross compile llvm-gcc in llvm docs.
I place codesourcery toolchain 2010q1 there, but the sh tell me "CodeSourcery tarball not found in /root/tmp/arm-2007q3-51-arm-none-linux-gnueabi-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.bz2 ", does 2007q3 support ARM Cortex A8? [LLVMdev] __builtin___clear_cache
Folks, To implement this bug: http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=19142 I need an LLVM intrinsic to communicate the need to lower the builtin wither to noop or a call or even a sequence of instructions. I thought about: void @llvm.clear_cache(i8 * begin, i8 * end) to simulate precisely GCC's builtin: void __builtin___clear_cache (char *begin, char *end) which will be, by default,
