[LLVMdev] RFC: Supporting ELF symbol aliases via GlobalAlias GEPs
I've attached a less-hackish implementation of this. This includes the following modifications: - getSupportsOverlappingAliases() method on TargetMachine which returns whether the target supports multiple symbols to the same object. This returns false in the superclass and needs to be explicitly overridden for each target to enable it. - An implementation of this method in

[LLVMdev] RFC: Supporting ELF symbol aliases via GlobalAlias GEPs
Hi David, Even if this works on Linux/ELF, do know whether it is "officially" supported? Using aliases to point to the interior of objects seems like something that could be very likely to break, but I don't know anything about how ELF encodes aliases. - Daniel On Tue, Aug 25, 2009 at 9:07 AM, David Chisnall<csdavec at swansea.ac.uk> wrote: > I've attached a

Finding distance matrix for categorical data
All, How can we find a distance matrix for categorical data ie. given a csv below var1 var2 var3 var4 element1-1 yes x a k element1-2 no y b l element1-3 maybe y c m how can i compute the distance matrix between all the elements Actually i need it to create clusters on top

[LLVMdev] LTOModule::parseSymbols not handling GlobalAlias
Hello everyone, ...I should have used a different subject line in the first place... I've asked Rafael a question about GlobalAlias handling in LTOModule::parseSymbols, but he seems to be on vacation... Does anyone knows the answer? Thanks a lot! [LLVMdev] can GlobalAlias point to a middle of a structure?
Hi, In order to find out-of-bound accesses to global objects with AddressSanitizer ( http://code.google.com/p/address-sanitizer/wiki/AddressSanitizer) I need to create redzones to the left and to the right of every global variable. I tried the following: Before: @Extern = global [10 x i8] zeroinitializer, align 1 After: %0 = type { [32 x i8], [10 x i8], [54 x i8] } @Extern_asan_redzone =

passing a variable from controller to model
Hi, How do I pass a variable from my action into a model before saving the model. I''d like the model instance to have access to this variable to do some work before saving the model instance but the variable is not part of the model itself. Thanks, Sam -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

[LLVMdev] ARM assembler's syntax in clang
Hi Ashi, > ld: illegal text-relocation to _data_table in table.o from foo in > use_table.o for architecture armv7 It looks like you're using iOS. I'm not familiar with the exact workings of that platform, but I think a similar message would occur in ELF-land. If iOS *is* comparable, your issue is that symbols in dynamically loaded objects can't (usually) be referenced directly

[LLVMdev] ARM assembler's syntax in clang

[LLVMdev] Collapse OBJC_CLASSLIST_REFERENCES globals in llvm-link?
Hello list, I'm wondering about the feasibility of collapsing the following two globals within llvm-link: @"OBJC_CLASSLIST_REFERENCES_$_2" = private global %struct.objc_class* bitcast (%struct._class_t* @"OBJC_CLASS_$_NSString" to %struct.objc_class*), section "__DATA, __objc_classrefs, regular, no_dead_strip", align 4 @"OBJC_CLASSLIST_REFERENCES_$_8"

[LLVMdev] MC: Object file specific parsing
Hi Daniel, attached is a patch that pushes most of the object file specific parsing out of AsmParser and down into MachOAsmParser. This was done as a cleanup for the ELF work. I know that you're not happy with this approach, particularly the fact that as we add more object file formats and assembler dialects, it's going to cause a class explosion. But I was hoping that we could use this

[IR] Modelling of GlobalIFunc
> * Calling getBaseObject() on a GlobalIFunc returns its resolver function. I still don't understand how it can happen looking to the code ( https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/blob/master/llvm/lib/IR/Globals.cpp#L430). I believe it should return nullptr (the same as if you call it from GlobalAlias that refers to GlobalIFunc). I don't have a strong opinion here because deriving

[BUG Report] -dead_strip, strips prefix data unconditionally on macOS
Firstly, do you need "main.dsp" defined as an external symbol, or can all external references go via "main"? If the answer is the latter, that will make the solution simpler. If only the latter, you will need to make a change to LLVM here: http://llvm-cs.pcc.me.uk/lib/CodeGen/AsmPrinter/AsmPrinter.cpp#650 Basically you would need to add a hook to the TargetLoweringObjectFile

Before I write this myself, is there already an easier way?
Recently I''ve wanted to be able to take the data I''ve painstakingly defined in my fixture files and slurp it up into my development database so I can play with my website (locally, in development mode) with the same data I use in my tests. In a similar vein, I want to take the table definitions in the development_structure.sql file and use it to re-define my development

I suspect that the format isn't important if you do that, but I wouldn't recommend it, at least because inlining (and other inter-procedural optimizations) are not expected to work correctly if you produce IR like that.
