my 2 cents but it looks like the logo was drawn using a vector
graphics editor, so you may directly ask the author the .svg version
;-)

Actually even if you had an SVG source it would be best to
simplify the drawing

Looks cool!
I'm awful at this kind of stuff, but maybe someone could do a small

Looks nice, even at 256 pixels. Just for the fun of it I sticked it on
http://pure-lang.googlecode.com/ (scaled to 128 pixels, though, to make
it fit).

I'll definitely try, but no promises. I don't know if they kept it (!).

Logo Nouveau
Dear community members,
Im a graphic designer and for the last couple of months I have been working on a new logo for the Nouveau project. After sending preliminary designs to both Martin Peres and Ilia Mirkin, we have decided to share the logo in order to gather your feedback.
I would like to highlight that the logo incorporates a penguin corresponding to the linux kernel components used to

How about a mascot for R?
R users,
How come R doesn't have a mascot? Linux has one and so does LaTeX, so shouldn't R? I personally think that associating a "friendly face" with R would be a good thing for R (one letter names can be quite intimidating).
I apologize if this is addressed in the FAQ. I searched the FAQ as well as the mailing list archives and checked
?mascot
but to no avail. ;-)

Hmm, that one has its left wing cut off, that wreaks havoc on the symmetry.
The 136x136 version at http://llvm.org/Logo.html seems perfect for
websites, though. It only lacks the text. What font did you use?

[LLVMdev] Web Site Re-Design
I offered to do the web site a couple of weeks ago. Life got in the
way temporarily, and it took me a long time to make it look the way
that I wanted and to make it look the same in IE6. Anyway, I wanted
to get some feedback on what I had done.
Some concerns:
1. SSI and JavaScript seem like overkill. Each subproject can have
their own look and feel by overriding the CSS

CentOS 8 Artwork needed
To all the artists and designers here, we need your help.
With RHEL 8 beta released, we need to start producing artwork for CentOS
8. It's time for the CentOS Artwork SIG, and anyone else that's
interested in contributing to this effort, to start working on
everything that will be needed for the new release.
What we know we need is anaconda artwork, and new desktop backgrounds to
