[LLVMdev] oprofile support?
Mi Maurice,
A follow up to Andy's comments: MCJIT can find line numbers for ELF files,
at least in limited circumstances. I know because I broke the regression
test for it while doing some cleanup recently. ;)
Looking at lib/ExecutionEngine/OProfileJIT/OProfileJITEventListener.cpp, I
see the line:
// TODO: support line number info (similar to IntelJITEventListener.cpp)

[LLVMdev] oprofile support?
I've been trying to get oprofile results for jitted code without success. I
built an 3.5.0 llvm with oprofile enabled, and tested it with lli on a
small test case. I built the latest oprofile from the git repository.
Debugging I can see that lli is registering the listener and making the
oprofile calls to the libopagent api to specify the names and address
ranges of jit'd routines, and

simple question about xenoprof
I''m trying to use xenoprof in my machine (xeon x5650, westmere).
While oprof works for this machine correctly, xenoprof doesn''t work
properly.
I want to use xenoprof in NMI mode (which is the opposite side of timer
mode, right?)
However, kernel message always shows that xenoprof works in the timer mode
only.
Is there any restriction or specs which is not

[PULL]: tip/cpus4096 updates
Hi Ingo,
Please pull a few more cpus4096 changes. Most are fairly lightweight with the
biggest change being to use cpumask_var_t's for the domain and pending_mask
cpumask's in irq_desc.
It also deals with this cpu_evtchn_mask bss space bump:
65536 +2031616 2097152 +3100% cpu_evtchn_mask(.bss)
Everything merges into tip/master cleanly.
Thanks!
Mike

Apache CGI Performance Big Degration in Dom0 vs. Native
Hi there,
I ran a test on an Apache server, the workload is a helloworld.c compiled cgi, very simple. OS is SLES 10. The stress tool is ab (apache bench).
The performance looks big degration from native to Dom0:
Running in prefork mode:
Native Dom0

[PATCH 0/3] xenoprof fixes
These patches address issues in the kernel part of xenoprof:
* Ill-advised use of on_each_cpu() can lead to sleep with interrupts
disabled.
* Race conditions in active_domains code.
* Cleanup of active_domains code.
Comments welcome.

[RFC] kvm tools: Add support for virtio-mmio
This patch adds support for the new virtio-mmio transport layer added in
3.2-rc1.
The purpose of this new layer is to allow virtio to work on systems which
don't necessarily support PCI, such as embedded systems.
To apply the patch on top of the KVM tools tree, you must first pull Linus'
tree on top. Also, CONFIG_VIRTIO_MMIO=y should be set in the guest kernel.

[PATCH] Xenoprof passive domain support
Hi Renato,
This patch is to add Xenoprof passive domain support in SMP environment.
Basically:
- It allocates per vcpu buffers for passive domain and maps them into
primary domain''s space.
- When primary domain gets sampled and triggers virq, its kernel module
will handle passive domain'' samples besides its owns. There is potential
buffer overflow if passive is very busy while

[LLVMdev] Any way get debug output of generated assembly from MCJIT without completely redoing CodeGen?
Yeah, that's probably how I'd do it.
Might be useful if you guys want to contribute that as a command line
option Kevin.

Nice list, thanks! By then way there are known errors in the library
code, too, see
