[LLVMdev] 'struct' now seen using 'class'
Hi, I'm new to Clang / LLVM, and trying to build so that it will run natively on Windows. Used the CMake approach (thanks to whoever created the configs for this). Had to comment out "DbgInfoRemover.cpp" in one of the make files (didn't spend time to figure out why), following which CMake produced a nice working Visual Studio 2008 solution file. I opened this up in VS

[LLVMdev] MSVC compile error with trunk
Does not seem to be a straight error with LLVM itself, but rather the tools, linking issues, here are the errors: Opt: 30> Creating library R:\SDKs\llvm\trunk_VC8_building\lib\Debug\opt.lib and object R:\SDKs\llvm\trunk_VC8_building\lib\Debug\opt.exp 30>LLVMScalarOpts.lib(IndVarSimplify.obj) : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: bool __thiscall

[LLVMdev] Macro redefinitions
In DataTypes.h starting on line 121 are these lines: #define INT8_C(C) C #define UINT8_C(C) C #define INT16_C(C) C #define UINT16_C(C) C #define INT32_C(C) C #define UINT32_C(C) C ## U #define INT64_C(C) ((int64_t) C ## LL) #define UINT64_C(C) ((uint64_t) C ## ULL) They are conflicting with the cstdint when we have updated headers in our MSVC build. I could have sworn I talked about this

[LLVMdev] Being able to know the jitted code-size before emitting
Hi, Two questions. 1) How are you computing size of the method being jitted? 2) Why not simply add the functionality of allocating emission buffer of specific size to MachineCodeEmitter instead? Thanks, Evan On Mar 30, 2008, at 12:05 PM, Nicolas Geoffray wrote: > Hi everyone, > > vmkit requires to know the size of a jitted method before emitting > the method. This allows to

[LLVMdev] Being able to know the jitted code-size before emitting
Hi Evan, Evan Cheng wrote: > 1) How are you computing size of the method being > jitted? I add a new pass with addSimpleCodeEmitter, with the emitter being a SizeEmitter. Since the target calls the emitter with functions such as writeByte, writeWord, etc.... the SizeEmitter class implements these function by incrementing a counter. At the end of the pass, the code size of the

Reviewing it a little, I can not see how things won't be duplicated.
