[LLVMdev] RFC: Store alignment should be LValue alignment, not source alignment
Hi all, Please review this patch. It's fixing PR3232 comment #8. Function bar from 2008-03-24-BitFiled-And-Alloca.c compiles to: %struct.Key = type { { i32, i32 } } ... define i32 @bar(i64 %key_token2) nounwind { entry: %key_token2_addr = alloca i64 ; <i64*> [#uses=2] %retval = alloca i32 ; <i32*> [#uses=2] %iospec =

[LLVMdev] RFC: Store alignment should be LValue alignment, not source alignment

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc Bug, Looking for Advice on Fix
Ok, I've tracked down the problem I've had bootstrapping llvm-gcc. The culprit is in TreeToLLVM::EmitMemCpy: void TreeToLLVM::EmitMemCpy(Value *DestPtr, Value *SrcPtr, Value *Size, unsigned Align) { const Type *SBP = PointerType::get(Type::Int8Ty); const Type *IntPtr = TD.getIntPtrType(); Value *Ops[4] = { CastToType(Instruction::BitCast,

Please apply the attached (small) patch on top of it in the gcc directory. Worth noting, this front-end only works

[LLVMdev] another llvm-gcc-4.2 compilation problem
hi, i also have problems compiling llvm-gcc (current svn version). llvm is current llvm svn. i tried to use every gcc version from 4.0 to 4.3 to compile llvm-gcc. i configured llvm-gcc like this (and tried every other combination of disable-shared, disable-multilib and bootstrap) : ../llvm-gcc/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-llvm=/usr --enable-languages=c,c++ --disable-shared

[LLVMdev] BITS_BIG_ENDIAN in llvm-gcc
There are various functions in llvm-convert.cpp that depend on BITS_BIG_ENDIAN: TreeToLLVM::EmitLoadOfLValue() TreeToLLVM::EmitMODIFY_EXPR() InsertBitFieldValue() ProcessBitFieldInitialization() The comments say things like: // If this target has bitfields laid out in big-endian order, invert the bit // in the word if needed. // If this is a big-endian bit-field, take the top

[LLVMdev] trying to build llvm-gcc in linux/amd64
I am trying to build llvm-gcc4 on a amd64. I had to add the attached patch to get the build system to select the correct library. Now the build fails while compiling a code that has __builtin_va_copy. The attached test.i fails with: cc1: ../../trunk/gcc/llvm-convert.cpp:443: llvm::Value* TreeToLLVM::Emit(tree_node*, llvm::Value*): Assertion `(isAggregateType(((exp)->common.type)) == (DestLoc

[LLVMdev] gfortran: array constructor problems
Hi, in order to get a handle on the questions in Chris's previous email, I rebuilt LLVM with debugging info, and then rebuilt gcc4 with CHECKING_ENABLED. [LLVMdev] Fwd: help with llvm-convert
On alpha, I am seeing a problem with Emiting va_copy.  valists are structs and allocated by alloca, unlike x86.  EmitBuiltinVACopy is therefore using the second branch of the if (~llvm-convert.cpp:6538) to emit the second argument.  The second argument is the result of an alloca.  TreeToLLVM::Emit is hitting the first assertion (~929). The exp being passed is:  <var_decl 0x20000b44240 ap
