Linux, Maildir over NFS, Locking problems
Hi, I am having problems with file locks with my NFS mounted Maildir setup. NFS Client/IMAP Server is RHEL3 clone whitebox and NFS server is a Fedora Core 2 system. Both are running lockd as far as I can tell. dovecot is installed with Dag's latest dovecot RPMs for RHEL3. Time is synced between the two systems. Hi, I installed CentOS on a 1U server with a SI SATA Controller According to lspci a CMD Technology Inc Silicon Image SiI 3112 SATARaid Controller (#2) (rev 2) The problem is for some reason the system came up without DMA. Of course this means terrible IO performance. Aside from setting it with hdparm is there a way to have it do this on boot? Is this a known issue? Terrence

NFSv4 ACLs with rsync
Hi, I am looking for a method of syncing NFS directories (Netapp qtrees) that contains NFSv4 ACLs. We copy qtrees (millions of files, xx TB) from one qutree into another one. The only tool we currently use is (netapp internal) ndmpcopy, it preserves ACLs but is slow. Promise raid cards
Hello. I would like to know if promise RAID cards are compatible with CentOS / RHEL ? I have seen that only SATA is supported on the RHEL hardware compatibility list. Guest needs the ability to enable and disable MSI-X interrupts by setting the MSI-X control bit, for a passed-through device. Hi, I'm exploring using Xapian to to replace a database-backed people lookup. It's working well but I'd like to know if there's anything more I can do to increase accuracy.
