[LLVMdev] fastcc, tail calls, and gcc
Two related questions. This is with LLVM 2.4 doing a JIT compile to x86-64. (I generate LLVM IR using an IRBuilder instance, compile/optimize, and then call getPointerToFunction() to get a "native" function pointer.) (1) My reading of various mailing list messages seems to indicate that a function marked as using the "fastcc" calling convention

[LLVMdev] llvm-2.7: --with-udis86 failure
Debug build on x86_64 with`--with-udis86=<path>' option to 'configure' seems broken. Configure command line: ./configure --disable-optimized --enable-assertions --enable-debug-runtime --enable-debug-symbols --enable-jit --enable-pic --enable-targets=x86_64 --with-udis86=/somepath/udis86/udis86-1.7 At least 2 issues: (1) '-L/somepath/udis86/udis86-1.7' is added to the

Well, you can always generate a little wrapper function with C calling convention which just calls the fastcc function. -- Dr. Albert Gr"af Dept. of Music-Informatics, University of Mainz, Germany Email: Dr.Graef at t-online.de, ag at

[LLVMdev] BR_CC questions
I am implementing a new backend and am pretty sure I don't quite understand "the way" one is supposed to implement conditional branches. My target CPU natively supports a conditional branch instruction that accepts a condition to test (equal, less than, etc.), two operands (two registers, or one register and one immediate), and finally a target PC to branch to if the comparison

[LLVMdev] Newbie question: Getting info about JIT-compiled function
Apologies if this is a FAQ. I am using the LLVM JIT facility on an x86_64 platform. I generate IR for a single function using IRBuilder(), use the FunctionPassManager to do some optimization passes, and then call ExecutionEngine::getPointerToFunction() to get a native-code version of the function. Everything works fine so far. Two questions: Question (1): How can I get the size of the native

Multiple copies of a message
I have a problem and I don't know which part of the mail chain could be causing it, although dovecot does seem to be the most logical source. I get multiple copies of messages to my Inbox. I have just deleted 24 copies of a newsletter from Computer Shopper. The worst example I have seen of this had more than 90 copies. This doesn't happen to any subfolder of Inbox, just Inbox

[LLVMdev] Garbage collection: Multiple copies of a root
Another open question is who is responsible for inserting calls to the collector routine (or signaling a collector thread)? My impression is that this has to be done in the front-end for now since there is no support for doing this at the safe points at the moment. Is this correct? POP users complaining about multiple copies of mail
Hello, We just switched from UW to Dovecot for our mail server. The transition went smoothly, except we have some users complaining about their email clients re-downloading mail or getting multiple copies of emails. When we go into their accounts, we only see one copy of the email, so I'm assuming there's something odd in the communication between their client and us that's causing

Printing multiple copies
Hello! I'm having a problem with my SAMBA setup in that it cannot print multiple copies from any clients. I think I could solve this if there is anyway to specify a variable on the "print command =" line that corresponds to the number of copies. That way I could just use "print command = lpr -r -P'%p' -#%n %s" (where %n is the number of copies. Anyone know if

Any interest in a Canadian Asterisk mailing list?
Just on the off chance that Canadian Asterisk users might be interested in a place to discuss topics specific to the "great white north" (sources, services, telcos, etc.), I created the asterisk-canada mailing list: http://lists.syonex.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-canada or asterisk-canada-subscribe@lists.syonex.com Cheers!
