[LLVMdev] Memory leaks after llvm_shutdown
Hi llvmdev!
In our project (Windows, Visual Studio compiler) we've got some frontend
which generates LLVM IR. Now I'm observing strange *llvm_shutdown* behavior.
If I called it when I was done using the LLVM APIs I saw that
destructors of static objects created new ManagedStatic objects, which
was never freed.
Then I tried to use static global llvm_shutdown_obj to cause destruction

[LLVMdev] Memory leaks in LLVM on linux
Chris,
I'm using a llvm_shutdown_obj object and it calls llvm_shutdown when I delete it. Do I need to call llvm_shutdown() again afterwards? It looks to me like the static object is being created after my program exits main().

[LLVMdev] One problem to discuss
Hello, all:
I have a problem want to discus with you, Chris someone should be the right person.
In llvm-3.1.src/lib/support/unix/Signals.inc, in SignalHandler, we have:
static RETSIGTYPE SignalHandler(int Sig) {
...
SignalsMutex.acquire();
RemoveFilesToRemove();
...
}
We can also find following code snippet in the same file:
void llvm::sys::RunInterruptHandlers() {

Where can I get a downloadable stream directory?
Hi,
I want to connect as a client. Please let me know about the listings you
mention. I?ve just asked this on another thread in the dev list:
I see a "stream directory" at icecast.org, but I don't know if it's
available to download (I think using a program to dig the info from the web
is not ethical, as least without permission). Shoutcast has a nice directory
but

[LLVMdev] Memory leaks in LLVM on linux
Also, this can be easily reproduced with the following command:
valgrind --tool=memcheck --show-reachable=yes --leak-check=full --track-origins=yes --leak-check=full opt -disable-opt -O0 <some random bitcode file>

[LLVMdev] Undefined references when LLVM is configured with "--host=x86_64-gnu-linux --target=x86_64-w64-mingw32"
Hi Ruben,
Try adding a --build=x86_64-gnu-linux option to configure as well. I don't have that configuration locally, so I can't check to be certain, but IIRC, our configure wants all three for a cross compile like this.

[LLVMdev] How best to time passes using the API instead of opt? Also, memory leaks when trying to do timing in the API.
Oh, you probably also need to create a static llvm_shutdown_obj.

[LLVMdev] Undefined references when LLVM is configured with "--host=x86_64-gnu-linux --target=x86_64-w64-mingw32"
Hi,
I'm getting a returning build failure when building a linux->windows
crosscompiler out of LLVM/Clang.
Attached is config.log and below is the output of "make VERBOSE=1"

[LLVMdev] RFC: Adding an option to llvm-link to allow it to get a list of input bitcode file names from a file
Well, although cl::ParseCommandLineOptions contains support for @file. By default it is disabled, which is the case for llvm-link.
To enable @file support in llvm-link, a small change is needed:
--- llvm-link.cpp.orig 2012-09-20 16:10:50.000000000 -0400
+++ llvm-link.cpp 2012-09-20 16:11:24.000000000 -0400

I have no objection to that. Actually I am curious why it is disabled by default.
If we enable ReadResponseFiles=true by default, we will automatically get support of response file (@file) in all llvm tools. The only issue I can think of is that some users may have file names starting with "@".

Extract part of vector
Dear R-users,
How do I extract numbers between asp?P= and &VID from my txt vector? I have
tried grep function with no luck.

Clicking Problems with slightly clipped audio
It appears that both the echo canceller and the noise reducer (NR)
introduce rather severe clicking artifacts when presented with audio
that has slightly overloaded the A/D converters. I am talking about
speech that sounds just slightly distorted, due to clipping, when simply
played back. If I pass that speech through the echo canceller or the
noise reducer, it acquires really loud clicks and/or

bugpoint seems to generate a broken Module
Hi,
has anyone had any problem with a broken Module involving memcpy/memset
argument types after some iterations of Bugpoint reduction? I run into
this every now and then (on SystemZ), and would really like to know
what's going wrong...
Please see https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36424, where I reported
this with examples.
Thank you,

[LLVMdev] Got bugs? Perhaps bugpoint can help...
Hey everyone. It sounds like 426 people are in for a fun weekend. It's
possible that some of you may even have bugs in your code (I know, I know,
not YOU... :) If this is you, read on...
You might be interested in trying out the 'bugpoint' tool. It can help
you when your pass crashes on a testcase. Merely tell it the input
testcase and the name of your pass, and it will try to

Nope, that's not built into bugpoint, hence the procedures in the
document.
