rotl: undocumented LLVM instruction?
Is there any way to get it to delay this optimization where it goes from this: Initial selection DAG: BB#0 'bclr64:entry' SelectionDAG has 14 nodes: t0: ch = EntryToken t2: i64,ch = CopyFromReg t0, Register:i64 %vreg0 t4: i64,ch = CopyFromReg t0, Register:i64 %vreg1 t6: i64 = sub t4, Constant:i64<1> t7: i64 = shl Constant:i64<1>, t6

rotl: undocumented LLVM instruction?
Setting the ISD::ROTL to Expand doesn't work? (via SetOperation) You could also do a Custom hook if that's what you're looking for. [LLVMdev] How to get the indices in an getelementptr Value?
Hi, all I am a LLVM user. I want to get every element in the next instruction: %0 = load i32* getelementptr inbounds (%struct.Args* @globalArg, i64 0, i32 2), align 4, !dbg !85, !clap !86 Now I can only get value "i32* getelementptr inbounds (%struct.Args* @globalArg, i64 0, i32 2)" through "getOperand(0)", but I can not get "%struct.Args* @globalArg", "i64

rotl: undocumented LLVM instruction?
One option may be to prevent the formation of ROTL, if possible, and then generating rol by hand. Marking it as "expand" would likely stop the DAG combiner from creating it. Then you could "preprocess" the selection DAG before the instruction selection and do the pattern matching yourself. -Krzysztof On 11/3/2016 4:24 PM, Phil Tomson via llvm-dev wrote: > I could try

rotl: undocumented LLVM instruction?
We've recently moved our project from LLVM 3.6 to LLVM 3.9. I noticed one of our code generation tests is breaking in 3.9. The test is: ; RUN: llc < %s -march=xstg | FileCheck %s define i64 @bclr64(i64 %a, i64 %b) nounwind readnone { entry: ; CHECK: bclr r1, r0, r1, 64 %sub = sub i64 %b, 1 %shl = shl i64 1, %sub %xor = xor i64 %shl, -1 %and = and i64 %a, %xor ret i64

Ensuring chain dependencies with expansion to libcalls
Hi all, Our target does not have native support for 64-bit integers, so we rely on library calls for certain operations (like sdiv). We recently ran into a problem where these operations that are expanded to library calls aren't maintaining the proper ordering in relation to other chains in the DAG. The following snippet of a DAG demonstrates the problem. t0: ch = EntryToken t2:

Issue with DAG legalization of brcond, setcc, xor
Hi, I am having some issues with how some of the instructions are being legalized. So this is my intial basic block. The area of concern is the last three instructions. I will pick and choose debug output to keep this small. SelectionDAG has 36 nodes: t0: ch = EntryToken t6: i32,ch = CopyFromReg t0, Register:i32 %vreg507 t2: i32,ch = CopyFromReg t0, Register:i32 %vreg17

[LLVMdev] How to get the indices in an getelementptr Value?
Hi Michael, Thank you very much. But idx_begin/idx_end iterators can only be used through a getelementptr instruction, right? However, I think value "i32* getelementptr inbounds (%struct.Args* @globalArg, i64 0, i32 2)" itself is not a getelementptr instruction, so? Or could you tell me how can I get a getelementptr instruction first from this value?

change the label size when drawing trees with ape
Hi All, I want to be able to change the labe size on a tree when using ape package so that the graph can look nicer, but don't know how. Playing with the "font" doesn't seem to help. (Right now the labels barely show.) Thanks for your help! Code I'm using now #------------------------- t1 = "(((1:77.37,2:77.37):9.4,4:86.77):7.56,3:94.33);" t2 =

Error in v64i32 type in x86 backend
also i further run the following command; llc -debug filer-knl_o3.ll and its output is attached here. by looking at the output can we say that legalization runs fine and the error is due to instruction selection/ pattern matching which is not yet implemented? so do i need to worry and try to correct it at this stage or should i move forward to implement instruction selection/ pattern matching?

Sudden disconnect
hi all, just finished upgrading to 2.2.8a and things went well and without any sign of a glitch. I was able to log in from windows to my FreeBSD box as root just like before the upgrade. but then, all of a sudden, the box was no longer available from windows no sign of anything going on with the FreeBSD computer I can putty into it and it seems fine nmbd and smbd show up in top what could

Issue with DAG legalization of brcond, setcc, xor
But isn't kinda silly that we transform to xor and then we transform it back. What is the advantage in doing so? Also, since we do that method, I now have to introduce setcc patterns for i1 values, instead of being able to just use logical pattern operators like not. -Dilan On Fri, Jul 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM Dilan Manatunga <manatunga at gmail.com> wrote: > For some reason I

A way to opt out of a dag combine?
Is there an established way of disabling a DAG combine on a per target basis, where it appears to be detrimental to the generated code? Writing if (!mytarget) in DAGCombiner.cpp works but tends to be erased by git merge and generally doesn't look ideal. Writing the inverse transform in target specific code doesn't work in this instance and in general creates an infinite loop. Guidance

Strange behaviour of post-legalising optimisations(?)
I come across a situation that I am having a hard time to understand. When I compile the following code : char *tst( char *dest, const char *src, unsigned int len ) { for (int i=0 ; i<len ; i++) { dest[i] = src[i]; } return dest; } Clang generates this for the ‘for’ body: for.body: ; preds = %for.cond %arrayidx = getelementptr inbounds i8,

problem about UID
Hi everyone, I have an ubuntu server 9.10 as server and fedora 11 as client and I have installed and configured samba 3.4.0 on ubuntu and samba 3.4.7-0.50.fc11 on fedora, and openldap smbldap-tools and ldapscript. My problems are related to UID numbers ( at least I think so). muratcan, muratcan2, muratcan3 has been created by ldapscript and on server side there is written
