noalias parameter attribute not currently exploited by alias analysis?
I wanted to confirm that my understanding of the situation is correct. For background, I've been working have an optimizer pass for a research architecture which works best when there are large basic blocks and good alias analysis results. I first noticed the issue in rgbcmy01 from eembc-1.1, but have created a simpler test case which demonstrates the same issue which is unencumbered by the

Regarding the name, I'm not sure noaliasAtFunctionEntry makes sense, for two reasons: a) The pointer involved may not be defined at entry. b) We already have something which is similar in spirit - IsIdentifiedObject. Hello, Currently the noalias attribute can be applied on function parameters and return value, or via scoped alias on store. The problem is that there is no easy way to apply the noalias attribute on a pointer that is loaded indirectly (e.g from the field of an aggregate, or from a memory location - though for this you can still use scoped alias, but they are a lot more intrusive) The idea

Hi, What are the intended semantics of noalias when applied to a vector of pointers? signext/zeroext parameter attributes are incorrectly rejected for vectors (bug 15391), and I'm not sure if the same is true for noalias when applied to pointer vectors.
