[LLVMdev] linux build problem
I'm away from my Linux machines, if this hasn't been resolved by tonight I'll send more details. THe problem in cplus-dem.c is that CPP is conditionally including code that comes when HAVE_STDLIB is not defined, including an alternate protptype for malloc() that conflicts with the existing one. This is just what causes the error I sent-- no idea what the root cause is. Thanks,

Seeing as GCC 4.6 works without breaking to build LLVM instead of Clang I think I'm going to bug the Debian proper to make it easier for Clang/LLVM to get the linker update changes. Linker problem in installing 64-bit R

Alpine linux is a distribution that uses musl libc instead glibc. Here are my steps to reproduce: On Alpine linux, download LLVM, Clang, LLD 6.0.0 from releases.llvm.org, and build them from source. $ clang -c hello_world.c $ ld.lld --gc-sections -m elf_x86_64 -o hello_world /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-alpine-linux-musl/6.4.0/../../../../lib/Scrt1.o
