[LLVMdev] Anderson's analysis, getresult instruction on x86_64
Hi Prakash, I think this is highly related to PR2527 [1] and PR2451 [2]. I assume you are using LLVM 2.3, since current svn automatically replaces getresult with extractvalue instructions (but doesn't help for Andersen's). In either case, it seems that Andersen's currently has no ready made way to indicate a part of a first-class aggregate (or vector), which is the essence of the

[LLVMdev] Anderson's analysis, getresult instruction on x86_64
Thanks for the replies, Daniel and Matthijs. I added some code to generate the copy constraint, which I think (in the present form) is wrong (or at best not field sensitive): +void Andersens::visitGetResultInst(GetResultInst &GR) { + if (isa<PointerType>(GR.getType())) + { + // P1 = getresult P2 --> <Copy/P1/P2> +

AliasAnalysis supported by the new Pass Manager in v3.9 ?
Looking at the InstructionCombining.cpp code: PreservedAnalyses InstCombinePass::run(Function &F,                                        AnalysisManager<Function> &AM) {   auto &AC = AM.getResult<AssumptionAnalysis>(F);   auto &DT = AM.getResult<DominatorTreeAnalysis>(F);   auto &TLI = AM.getResult<TargetLibraryAnalysis>(F);   auto *LI =

Run llvm pass from standalone project
Hi all, I am trying to use LLVM's AliasAnalysis pass, but from a standalone tool that uses llvm libraries. The following is the code snippet I am currently using. PassBuilder PB; auto mod_manager = ModuleAnalysisManager { }; PB.registerModuleAnalyses(mod_manager); AAResults& AAR = mod_manager.getResult<AAManager>(*M); But the code fails at .getResult with the following error:

[LLVMdev] Plans considering first class structs and multiple return values
Hi all, I've been implementing some stuff that uses the new structs-as-firstclass values code. Apart from some implementation problems, I'm spotting a few structural problems that seem non-trivial to fix. In particular, now that structs are a first class values, the old way or returning multiple values is a bit confusing. The old way had a variable number of arguments to the return

problems with RPostgreSQL compilation
Hello, I am trying to install RPostgreSQL, but without success at the moment, getting an errormessage - see below. My OS is Fedora 17, R version 2.15.2, PostgreSQL 9.2.1 with Postgis 2.0.1 spatial extension. Thank You for any help, advice or hint in advance. [LLVMdev] know if individual LLVM's Instruction has a result, and how to obtain it?

[LLVMdev] know if individual LLVM's Instruction has a result, and how to obtain it?
Most LLVM IR instructions have a result field, according to the Language Reference. I want to know, for all LLVM Instructions, is there an easy and consistent way to know if the current Inst has a result field? And if yes, what is the best way to obtain it? E.g.: <result> = add<ty> <op1>,<op2> /; yields {ty}:result / All ADD instruction will have a

Let CallGraphSCCPass Use Function-Level Analysis
Hi Mikhail, As Brian noted, stuff like this works better in the new pass manager. Even in the old pass manager I thought it should work though. Did you initialize the pass, via `INITIALIZE_PASS_DEPENDENCY(PostDominatorTreeWrapperPass)`? Did you require it, via ` AU.addRequired<PostDominatorTreeWrapperPass>();`? Btw. May I ask what you are planning to do? Cheers, Johannes On 01/07,

[LLVMdev] [patch] Missing instructions in llvm-c.
Hi. The attached patch adds wrappers for the instructions vicmp, vfcmp, ret (multiple) and getresult, and for the vicmp and vfcmp operations on constants, to llvm-c. Also: 1) There appears to be no way to create intrinsics via llvm-c. Is there? 2) The "extractvalue"[1] and "insertvalue"[2] instructions don't seem to be addable via IRBuilder. Why? Cheers, -Mahadevan.

RFC: Getting ProfileSummaryInfo and BlockFrequencyInfo from various types of passes under the new pass manager
Hi all, To implement more profile-guided optimizations, we’d like to use ProfileSummaryInfo (PSI) and BlockFrequencyInfo (BFI) from more passes of various types, under the new pass manager. The following is what we came up with. Would appreciate feedback. Thanks. Issue It’s not obvious (to me) how to best do this, given that we cannot request an outer-scope analysis result from an inner-scope

Hi Philip, Thanks for the response. Under llvm-5.0.2 and llvm-6.0.1 in Debug mode, the crash hit at the same assertion: /usr/local/include/llvm/IR/PassManager.h:689: typename PassT::Result& llvm::AnalysisManager<IRUnitT, ExtraArgTs>::getResult(IRUnitT&, ExtraArgTs ...) Creating a group share
Hello, I have a Samba PDC (3.x) running in a OpenSUSE 10.2 system. The authentication backend is Open LDAP. I want to create a group share (WTCCC) which should be accessible to a group of users (belonging to a group called WTCCC). The users' possess this group as their secondary group (NOT primary). And the share folder would have its gid bit set, so all the writes to the folder
