[LLVMdev] Hi
Hello, I want to use LLVM to develop a 64-bit operating system (64-bit Win64 DLL targets) on a 32-bit Windows host. Is this possible? Also I get the following error when I try make install: llvm[1]: Compiling StringPool.cpp for Release build llvm[1]: Compiling SystemUtils.cpp for Release build llvm[1]: Compiling Timer.cpp for Release build llvm[1]: Building Release Archive Library

[LLVMdev] Problem
Yes I am running Vista. I tried running the program as an Administrator but I get the same error. What is a valid -mtune argument I can try? Thanks, Willow Anton Korobeynikov wrote: > Hello, Willow > > >> C:\Downloads\llvm-gcc4.2-2.3-x86-mingw32\llvm-gcc4.2\bin>llvm-gcc a.c -o a >> a.c:1: error: bad value (generic) for -mtune= switch >> > Something is

[LLVMdev] Hi
Hello, Willow > I just tried ./configure and make install. Configure works file, make > install leads to the above error. Sorry, no idea. Actually, never seen this before. You might try these instructions, they worked perfectly: http://blogs.tedneward.com/2008/02/24/Building+LLVM+On+Windows+Using+MinGW32.asp x PS: And I suggest not to use vista as host system. -- WBR, Anton Korobeynikov

rsync with --exclude files
HI, I'm trying to exclude some files & directories from a filesystem which I would like to copy to a different site. I did: # rsync -avz --exclude-file=/fs21/tmp/perl_scripts/exclude.txt /fs22/a/circuit_design mickey.willow.com:/cpu/store/design where file /fs21/tmp/perl_scripts/exclude.txt contains the following directories and files to be excluded from /fs22/a/circuit_design :

NaNs in Nested Mixed Model
Dear R users, I have a problem with something called "NaNs" in a nested mixed model. The background is that I have studied the number of insect nymphs emerging from replicated Willow genotypes in the field. I have 15 replicates each of 4 Willow genotypes belonging two 2 Willow species. Now I want to elucidate the effect of Willow genotype on the number of emerging nymphs. Previously I

[LLVMdev] The make install fails in cross-compile mode
Hi, I cross-compile llvm/clang. The build platform is x86_64-linux-gnu. The host platform is mips-linux-gnu. Llvm and clang built successfully but "make install" shows the following error: % make install llvm[0]: Installing Release+Asserts /home/simon/work/install/clang/bin/llvm-tblgen strip: Unable to recognise the format of the input file

[Help] Add custom pragma
Yes. I checked that file, but I wasn't sure whether that is right one to look at. What is *.td extension btw? When I google it, it says this is for Windows Debug Simulator. Why clang use this extension, which is limited to Windows environment? On Tue, Oct 25, 2016 at 7:00 PM, Vedant Kumar <vsk at apple.com> wrote: > That file is generated by the clang-tblgen tool: > >

The llvm project uses that extension to identify TableGen inputs (http://llvm.org/docs/TableGen/). vedant > On Oct 25, 2016, at 4:12 PM, Sunghyun Park <sunggg at umich.edu> wrote:

Weird problem - one machine works another doesn't on new server - both OK on old one.
Hello and Thanks in Advance, I've been at this for three days now and can't think of anything else to try. Been through the docs and #samba on openprojects and even begged for direction in #samba-technical who suggested writing here. On the ancient RedHat 5.2 server (SAMBA 1.9?) both boxes work OK and continue to work OK with both servers now up (new one is from Mandrake 8.2 - SAMBA

[Help] Add custom pragma
Hi, all. I want to give programmer ability to tell LLVM that certain region of code is expected to get specialized optimization. So, I'm trying to make custom pragma to mark certain region of code and pass this information to LLVM, in the similar way that '#pragma clang loop unroll_count(N)' works. By tracking the framework of loop unroll pragma, I found out it works in the way below.

Windows/Clang build instrumented/PGO
Hello LLVM developers, Following some hints on this mailing list earlier this year on how to make clang faster than stock llvm.org builds I have implemented a script that builds a PGO optimized version of clang by following the guide here: http://llvm.org/docs/HowToBuildWithPGO.html This works great on macOS and Linux - we gained almost 15% in our project with this technique. I am now looking at

What is a valid -mtune argument I can try? generic *is* a valid value for mtune; however, it's was added to gcc relatively recently. This is only a rough guess, but the most likely issue is that
