[LLVMdev] MS assembler support
Hi Anton,
Ok maybe I should have stated what it was that I wanted to do. In this
context I would like to compile C code, with LLVM, to MS proprietary CV
format that can be linked and debugged with Visual Studio, but from what
you are saying this is not currently possible.
Thanks,
Ben

Multiple issues here, actually.
First of all, there is "X86IntelAsmPrinter", which outputs MASM-compatible assembler.

Well, maybe. But in any case I doubt there will be 'open' support for CV debug format :)

This was fixed couple of months ago. Please consider using current svn
top of tree, not 2.3 release.

Isn't is possible for cmake just to glob everything in the corresponding
directory?

[LLVMdev] Fall 2012: coop position in AMD Research
AMD Research
Co-op position: LLVM compiler developer
As part of a larger research project within AMD we are looking for a co-op to work on a compiler project that is using LLVM as its backend. The project is studying how explicitly parallel vector programming models (such as Cuda, OpenCL, and ISPC) can be compiled without loss of performance portability. The interested candidate should have

Well, anyway stubs are definitely wrong from windows64 and this should
be fixed, otherwise funny stuff can happen from time to

Also, there can be another ABI differences.

Hrm, are you using setjmp/longjmp stuff? They're definitely not

Well, in general - yes. However, I'm not sure up to which margin.

[LLVMdev] Any Mercurial or Bazaar mirrors available?

There is git mirror at repo.or.cz: http://repo.or.cz/w/llvm.git, llvm-gcc & clang mirrors are
available there as well. I'm updating it 'by hands' currently due to some reasons, so sometimes it
will need 2-3 days for changes in llvm

My fault, I'll fix it. The problem is that lli wants to link in JIT
module, which does not exist for these targets.

This works for me without any problems on mingw32. What are the problems you're seeing?

[LLVMdev] Question about machine-specific assembler in LLVM
Hi LLVM dev team!
Currently I'm writing high-level compiler
<http://code.google.com/p/bamelg/>for low-level purpose and have a
question about machine-code support in
LLVM.
Using Phoenix SDK I'm able to create "DataInstruction" which is blob of
binary data and emit it with other instructions into basic block. Also I can
specify register kill set for such instructions. Also

[LLVMdev] win32 assemblers and linkers for llvm
Yes, you are right. During my testings, I tried the llvm produced .S files
with the gcc frontend and it compiled and linked them to the final
executable.
The problem is with the gcc and binutils licence. This is GPL and while this
is ok for open source or for academic purposes, it can't be used on
commercial projects. In fact one of the strong points of llvm (and clang) is
its BSD like

Great to have you on the team, welcome!
We (Jeff, Morten, Paolo, the rest of the team and I) are looking forward to
