[LLVMdev] vmkit on x86_64
Hi Zsombor, Thanks for the patch! Unfortunately I can't apply it because the llvm API has moved from BinaryOperator::create to BinaryOperator::Create. Are you using svn head? Now on the x86_64 part. There has been very little work on porting vmkit on x86_64. If you're having compilation problems, I suppose it's in the garbage collector directory (GCMmap2). If you could make the

Upper 32bits from 64bit value
Hi, I need to fetch lower and higher 32bits from 64bit value. I found "CreateLShr" function to fetch lower 32bits, llvm::Value *intermediateValue = LLVMIRBuilder->CreateLShr(x64BitValue, 32); What function I need to use for fetching upper 32bits from 64bit value. Thanks in advance, Deep -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[LLVMdev] Please review the 2.5 release notes
> Please review the 2.5 release notes here: http://llvm.org/docs/ReleaseNotes.html The description of nocapture is a bit funny: "... pointer arguments to functions that access through but do not return the pointer in a data structure that out lives the call" I think it needs s/return/retain/ and s/out lives/outlives/ > In addition, many APIs have changed in this release. [LLVMdev] bitwise AND
Hi, I want to compute the bitwise 'and' between two values of type int1:  %x = and %a, %b  . Which is the LLVM instruction that creates this? I only found the APInt class, whose constructor is:  APInt(unsigned numBits, uint64_t val, bool isSigned = false) and which provides the bitwise AND operation: APInt  llvm::APIntOps::And (const APInt &LHS, const APInt &RHS)   Bitwise

[LLVMdev] rotate
Oh, no. I should have been more clear. The patch was not rejected, just lost in the daily shuffle. I already have my employer's approval to send this upstream, so I will prepare a patch against trunk this morning. > I proposed a similar patch to LLVM (left circular shift) around 10/2011. > > Parts of my patch did make it into trunk about a year after, but others > > did not.

[LLVMdev] Question about inserting IR code
Hi, From the file HowToUseJIT.cpp, I learned how to insert some calcuation IR code like Add/Sub/Mul etc by using Instruction *Add = BinaryOperator::createAdd(One, ArgX, "addresult", BB); By following this way, it works well when I insert some IR code whose operand is integer type like IntTy, however, when I tried to insert similar thing whose operands are float point, I got the

Sharing sessions between subdomains?
Hello, I know how to share sessions between subdomains in PHP. Can anyone please guide me as to how I can share sessions using Ruby? Where can I set the value of domain for which the cookie is set? I would like for a user to login on the home page and then go to blog.home.com and not have to login again. Any guidance/pointers are appreciated. Thanks''

Log rotation
Hi mongrel-herders, I''m just wondering what fellow railsers use to rotate their logs in an orderly fashion? I''d like to do something lightweight, i.e. (1) rename the logfile (2, optional) create a new empty logfile and (3) send a signal to each mongrel in the cluster and have them understand it''s time to reopen their log file handles. This is what I do with apache and

Capistrano fails to restart Memcached service
Hi. I am using Capistrano for my webapp and after deploy I need to restart memcached service. I am trying to do it with sudo "/etc/init.d/memcached restart" But it does not do it, even if memcached service existed - after deployment memcached service is off. I did some researching and added run "sleep 40" right after sudo command and found that service process existed
