The attached patch fixes the problem with the line information.
For the "AT_stmt_list" attribute of the compilation unit entry, DWARF-2
specification says:

[LLVMdev] Debug information under windows
Hello,
Recently I found binaries produced with LLVM impossible to debug under
Windows. This was probably related to the following bug:
http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=13636
Asm generated from .ll files revealed that some offsets to debug
information were incorrect: they were absolute instead of relative to
their sections.
Following patch seemed to have repaired the problem, so I'm

[LLVMdev] [patch] DwarfDebug problem with line section
Hi all,
While implementing debug info for our backend, we've noticed a problem with
debug_line section. We believe that the following code is wrong:
// DW_AT_stmt_list is a offset of line number information for this
// compile unit in debug_line section. It is always zero when only one
// compile unit is emitted in one object file.
addUInt(Die, dwarf::DW_AT_stmt_list, dwarf::DW_FORM_data4,

[LLVMdev] RFC: debug_line Emission
In CodeGen/DwarfWriter.cpp's EmitDebugLine file, these lines are
causing havoc on Mac OS X systems:
// If there are no lines to emit (such as when we're using .loc
directives
// to emit .debug_line information) don't emit a .debug_line
header.
if (SectionSourceLines.empty())
return;
Basically, if there's a file with only data in it, we still need the

[LLVMdev] [patch] DwarfDebug problem with line section
I updated DwarfDebug to use section offset, instead of hard coding 0,
to handle LTO properly.

Thanks for brining this up.

[LLVMdev] [patch] DwarfDebug problem with line section
DW_AT_stmt_list attribute's value is a section offset to the line no
info for current compilation unit. If there is only one compilation
unit generated per .o file then it is always zero. What kind of errors
are you seeing ?

[LLVMdev] Debugging with llvm-gcc/mingw doesn't seem to work
Hello, Argiris

That's strange. Debug information is more or less ok on both linux and
darwin.

[LLVMdev] [lldb-dev] How is variable info retrieved in debugging for executables generated by llvm backend?
All of this information is contained in the DWARF debug info that you must generate. Are you generating DWARF? If not, you will need to. If so, please attach an example program that contains DWARF and specify which function you are having trouble getting variable information for.

[LLVMdev] How is variable info retrieved in debugging for executables generated by llvm backend?
Hi, all
I ported llvm backend and lldb recently. Both tools can basically work.
lldb is able to debug programs in asm style and frame unwinding is OK.
But "frame variable XX" does not work because lldb is not able to determine
the address of
XX from debug info.
Can someone give any clue?
Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, it should do the right
