[LLVMdev] fix for loop scale limiting in BFI
I've been trying to get rid of the loop scale limiting problem during
BFI. Initially, this was saturating frequencies to the max side of the
scale, so a double nested loop would get max frequencies in all the
blocks (e.g., llvm/test/CodeGen/X86/lsr-i386.ll). This made the inner
loop no hotter than the outer loop, so block placement would not
bother aligning them.

EMC CX4 Clariion
Hi,
We had received a new EMC storage (Clariion CX4) and the EMC analist has
told us that CentOS aren't on their support list, but RHEL are :)
Well anybody on the list has a CentOS host talking (iSCSI) with an EMC storage,
preferably using the EMC Powerpath software, and can talk about you experience?
Or I will need to buy some REHL licenses ?
I'll put my hands on it only next

Centos-4.3: Filelocking problems under high [network related] load with kernel 2.6.9-42.0.3.ELsmp
Hi,
first of all, please CC me on any reply, as I am only subscribed to
the digest.
OK. Here is the problem. Said kernel (from 4.4) seems to have problems
with file-locking when the system is under high, likely network
related,
load. The symptoms are things using file locking (rpm, the user-space
automounter amd) fail to obtain locks, usually stating timeout
problems.

Join fails with 'SPNEGO login failed: invalid parameter' - SOLVED
Replying my own mail. I resolved this issue, which was the result of missing
iconv library files. Apparently, the default install of the SUNWuiu8 package
(Iconv modules for UTF-8 Locale) misses some files. Patch 113896-07, which is
not part of the recommended and security patch clusters, adds them to the
system. Note that the log file also complains about 'No protocol supported !'

[LLVMdev] How to put a pass for last?
Hello guys,
I'm writing a pass that must check every machine instruction that will go to
assembly.
I've put my pass registration just before the "addAsmEmmiter" line in
LLVMTargetMachine.cpp
But, iterating trought machine functions and basic blocks inside the
functions, there are still machine instructions that I cant reach.
This is the beginnig of the asm output of my example

samba pdc and nmbd
Hello friends, how are you?
I have a PDC running fine, but for security reasons my network administrator want to disable the netbios over tcp/ip.
My samba is a wins server and my hosts are setup for this wins server by dhcp.
A simple solution is just to disabled the nmbd service, but my clients were unable to logon correctly via PDC.
Is the nmbd service necessary for PDC remote logon?
Also,

Dahdi causes panic on server restart
Not sure how to go about troubleshooting this, did a fresh install
of CentOS 5.4x86 with a netinstall iso off the base and update repo
followed by a install of dahdi-lniux/tools from the digium/asterisk
repo, ran genconf on my single fxo tdm410p and rebooted, ran fxotune,
rebooted and now this panic every time it restarts...
Any known issues with the version of Dahdi in the repo's? Server is

newer HP G4 and G5 servers and centos :-)
Greets
Anyone on the list using newer HP G4 or G5 server hardware like DL36X or
DL38X with Centos? Or other HP hardware?
Are you running Intel, AMD, or both?
Are you using SAS or SATA or a mix?
Are you using Centos 3, CentOS 4, or starting migration to CentOS 5
Are things rock solid stable without any issues?
I know older Compaq and HP boxen have been rock solid for us for years yet

kernel: Page has mapping still set - continues
Been having this problem, and posted about it before. Thinking it was a
memory issue, I've replaced all memory on the server. However, the
problem has continued.
Server is a Proliant DL380 (8GB RAM, 2 Xeon CPU), running CentOS 3.6, all
patches up-to-date. Kernel is 2.4.21-40.ELsmp (problem seems to have
first manifested on kernel 2.4.21-37.0.1.ELsmp). Disk is CCISS hardware
