JVM crashes during GC
Hi,
Could you tell me if the following is some known issue?
While performing the following simple test, I see my JVM crashing
(consistently):
1. Open a connection to an ESXi driver/host (passing ConnectAuthDefault
instance).
2. Close the connection.
3. Invoke GC
When GC is triggered, at some point, some unallocated native memory is
being tried to release. That's failing.
The error thrown

[LLVMdev] vmkit2 core dump after building mmtk
Hello,
I am trying to build vmkit2 from the repo using OpenJDK 6 (stock
install) on Ubuntu 13.04 amd64. When I try to compile vmkit2 I get
the core dump below. I am not sure what the issue is, but I was
getting the same error when I was also using classpath. My build
environment is set up in the following way:

Re: [libvirt] JVM crashes during GC
Note: A couple of times I have seen errors while closing the connection
(the trace ending with virFree). Also, a few times I have seen backtraces
which show the flow going via esx driver and finally failing to close
connection. Unfortunately I dont have those logs anymore.
The execution results I have shared have been obtained using Libvirt built
from source using the following config parameters:

Did you get a chance to debug the issue?

[LLVMdev] vmkit2 core dump after building mmtk
Hi Adam,
I don't know which repo you have used? Because only the llvm repo is
maintained (not the gforge one), and vmkit2 comes from gforge... By the
way, how did you found the gforge repo, it should not be referenced anymore
from the web?
See you,
Gaël

[LLVMdev] vmkit2 core dump after building mmtk
I guess I mispoke, I checked out the source from
http://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/vmkit/trunk. I thought this was
vmkit2. I guess I was just referring to vmkit then.

[LLVMdev] 2nd attempt for a working patch for bug 2606
Hi Garrison,
I finally come back from holidays and take time to watch your patch.
I must say that I largely prefer this version over the previous one ! I like
the reuse of getLazyFunctionStub, but I don't know if the
forceEmitFunctionStub is still needed ?
I thought about JIT and modules, and I wonder if we don't need to take it
another way.
Now we can create multiples JIT. What if we

[LLVMdev] 2nd attempt for a working patch for bug 2606
This is the second version of a patch, which I recently attached to bug 2606, whose original version was
modified to reflect the lists comments. Also please note the comment at the end of this email, which basically
questions whether this bug is really a bug.
1) To solve the foreign Module GlobalVariable problem, I modified JIT::getOrEmitGlobalVariable(...) to
directly attempt to map a found

I also misunderstood :) So, in this case, the problem is that your
version of openjdk is probably not supported. In fact, we only support
the version 7u23 of openjdk :) You can find this version here:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase7-521261.html#jdk-7u25-oth-JPR
Currently, I'm modifying the internal design of vmkit and I'm not

[LLVMdev] vmkit segmentation fault revision 107990
Hi Nicolas,
I found a 32bit Lucid machine (but it'd be great if there was a working
64bit
version though). Everything was checked out this morning.
I now am able to build vmkit with this configuration:
./configure --with-llvmsrc=/home/zoewolk/RESEARCH/llvm
--with-llvmobj=/home/zoewolk/RESEARCH/llvm
--with-gnu-classpath-glibj=/home/zoewolk/RESEARCH/classpath-0.97.2/lib

[LLVMdev] vmkit2 core dump after building mmtk
Thanks for your help so far Gaël, but I ran into more trouble. I
installed the JDK on my system and the messages indicated the JVM
version needs to be 1.6. Did you intend to link me to Java 7?

Ok, I have exactly the same problem when I compile, I will try to
understand where is the problem.
