[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc 4.2 in Xcode
I'm UNhappy to see the iPhone SDK REQUIRES an expensive iMac computer to be able freely to develop programs on iPhone/iPod Touch. On 08/03/2008 00:59:55, Chris Lattner (clattner at apple.com) wrote: > I'm happy to announce that the iPhone SDK beta (released yesterday, > available on http://developer.apple.com) includes a beta version of > llvm-gcc 4.2 as part of the included

[LLVMdev] Can I debug llvm source code by iMac Xcode?
Hi, I can build llvm3.1 source code by CMAKE first, which generate LLVM.xcodeproj. And then open it by iMac Xcode and build llvm project execution files, clang, llc, llvm-as, ... . But I don't know how to debug it on Xcode IDE since the menu "Product -- Test" is grey color (not enabled). I am writing a llvm backend for fun and used to debug it on linux by gdb -args llc ... . I

Connection between postfix and dovecot failing
Well, post fix tries, but cannot connect. Sounds to me like problem at the receiving side. In any case, one question would be: is amavis part of dovecot or of postfix? sytse -- ------------------------------------------ - Sytse Kuijk - ___ - R.S.R. n.v. - o|o - Gijzelaarsstraat 16 - \_____(.)_____/ - 2000

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc 4.2 in Xcode
I'm happy to announce that the iPhone SDK beta (released yesterday, available on http://developer.apple.com) includes a beta version of llvm-gcc 4.2 as part of the included Xcode 3.1 beta. For more details, please see the llvm-gcc release notes included in the Xcode documentation. LLVM will also be in the final release of Xcode 3.1 for all Mac developers who are not interested in

Certificate cache on iOS with sending mail
So I generated a new certificate for dovecot, and ever since I have this weird problem that my iPhone can still receive mail but cannot send using that mailserver. Same for my iMac. My laptop works fine still and can do both. Local issue you would say right. I'm wondering if there is any cache for a certificate or something, my maillog shows up something like 10 bytes read, -1. So it returns

rsync time machine backup permissions
What is the order that rsync uses to set permissions? Time Machine directories have ACL permissions that basically prohibit making any changes of any kind. In order to make a backup of the directory, you would need to set those permissions after copying everything in the subdirectories. Is rsync smart enough to do it in that order? [LLVMdev] llvm useability?
What about ARM target ? I mean iPhone/iPod Touch has an ARM11 with a FPE and a VFPE. Does llvm-gcc 2.2 generates better code for them ? I'm a bit disappointed about the llvm-gcc 2.0 I tried for my iPod Touch as I saw it generated ARM code not very optimically : r7(apparently used like a frame pointer even when -fomit-frame-pointer is given) largely overused, generated code like "mov

Clients send tons of Notiftication requests
Hi everybody! I have a QNAP at home running firmware 4.4.2.1273 and I have configured it with NFS (for my iMac and FireTV) and SMB access (standalone server, for Win10 and iPhone/iPad Files access) Everything went fine till a certain point where many application would crash or behave in a very strange way when accessing SAMBA shares. Application can be Explorer++, OneCommander or File.app from

R for Irix 6.5 or lower
Good Day: Has anyone successfully compiled R, especially R.1.1.1, for Irix 6.5 or lower (an SGI octane machine) and if so, may I get a copy of it? Our computer does not have all the requisite software for compiling R -- to wit, a fortran compiler -- and there is insufficient demand here for R to warrant purchasing a compiler from SGI. I am trying to spur demand for R here by making it more

[PATCH 0/1] Base64-encode non-printable data
I expect this patch to require a second version. I mainly wanted to spur discussion: * I firmly believe hivexml needs more encoding checks before printing. Base64 encoding made the most sense as hivexml already uses it elsewhere. Is this the right direction to go, to escape non-printable data? * Should there be an enumeration for encoding decisions? I'm returning strings because it felt a

Connection between postfix and dovecot failing
Well, I tried that. I can connect a telnet session on that port and that does not refuse the connection, it sits there waiting, but I do not know the protocol so I cannot check if it does what it is supposed to. I also checked who is listening on that port, here is the dialog: sh-3.2# sudo lsof -i -n -P | grep 10024 perl5.18 75844 _amavisd 5u IPv4 0x866f6119e39f833d 0t0 TCP

X101P stopped working. Newbie seeks help
Hi I received the Asterisk Dev Kit Lite on Saturday and got a small PBX working fairly quickly using the config files supplied with the kit. This was on my desktop machine and the sound card stopped working. I turned the system off and moved the sound card to another slot to give it a different IRQ. On reboot, the modules zaptel, wcfxo, and wcusb all load OK and asterisk starts OK but there

rsync time machine backup permissions
Dear rsync users, I'm trying to copy my Time Machine Backup from my old USB hard drive to a new one. I got error messages, because rsync don't create group and other permissions. I use rsync 3.1.3. Did I use the correct parameters? Who has an idea, what mistake? Thanks! Best, André -- The bash script: #!/bin/bash source=/Volumes/LaCie\ d2\ Quadra\ v3/Backups.backupdb

using so-library involving Taucs
Dear R developers, The trace of the hat matrix H~(n,n) is computed as follows: tr(H) = tr(BS^-1B') = tr(S^-1B'B) := tr(X) = sum(diag(X)) with B~(n,p), S~(p,p). Since p is of the order 10^3 but S is sparse I would like to employ Taucs linear solver ( http://www.tau.ac.il/~stoledo/taucs/ ) on SX = B'B. (Further improvement by implying a looping over i=1,...,p, calling

Authentication w/ key + password
I have read archives about two-factor authentication on this list and it is interesting and can open up a can of worms. I don't intend on opening a can of worms or spur debate. As far as I can tell, authentication to openssh can be performed by signing a connection request with a private client key & having the server decrypt the key with the public key. The other way to authenticate (of
