[LLVMdev] Another memory fun
Hey again)
Now I have next code:
; ModuleID = 'sample.lz'
@.str1 = internal global [8 x i8] c" world!\00" ; <[8 x i8]*>
[#uses=1]
@.str2 = internal global [8 x i8] c"hello, \00" ; <[8 x i8]*>

but why this code don't work:

@.str1 = internal global [6 x i8] c"world\00" ; <[6 x i8]*>

@.str2 = internal global [7 x i8] c"hello \00" ; <[7 x i8]*>

@.str7 = internal global [7 x i8] c"father\00" ; <[7 x i8]*>

It's invalid for the same reason that
char *foobar = strcat("foo", "bar");
is invalid in C. Please make sure you understand what you're asking LLVM
to do before going any further down this path. A good approach is to
write out the correct code in C and then use llvm-gcc (or the demo page
at http://llvm.org/demo ) to see what it looks like in LLVM assembly.

hm.... I think, that is valid in c
but next code too doesn't works right:

@.str1 = internal global [6 x i8] c"world\00" ; <[6 x i8]*>
[#uses=1]
@.str2 = internal global [7 x i8] c"hello \00" ; <[7 x i8]*>

Samba 3.6.5, idmap configuration and WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND
Hello all,
I recently upgraded from Samba 3.5.6 (the version contained in Debian Stable) to Samba 3.6.5 (the version from Debian Backports) in an effort to closer track the current development to try and chase some long standing bugs out.
I think I've resolved one problem but introduced another. I'm getting the "WBC_ERR_DOMAIN_NOT_FOUND" when I try to perform a SID to UID

Newbie - MWI
Sorry for the partial post a moment ago
With help I got two phones communicating - PCMA/PCMU was the problem.
Next stpe is to try voicemail. VM works fine, I can leave a mesage and then
retrieve it - but no MWI on the phone and no stutter dialtone.
I promise I've spent the requisite 4 hours + on google etc. but have really
no further ideas.
The setup is 2 Grandstream phones (latest

This is my first time using bugpoint. I'm getting the following error:

User is invalid on this system
Hello all.
We are running Samba 3.6.6 on a Debian 6.0.6 server. We made the upgrade from 3.6.5 to 3.6.5 about a week ago and ever since we have lost the ability to map Samba shares from our Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 clients:
Here's an example from my workstation (logging verbosity set at 10):

Newbie - getting two local phones tocommunicate would be a good start :)
Hi John,
Try adding username=5702 and username=5703 to each of the configs in
sip.conf. I recall I had this problem with the Grandstreams.

No Sound in Rehearscore
I am trying to use a Windows program called Rehearscore on Ubuntu 11.10. It is a program that plays the piano accompaniment to a musical to allow for rehearsal of the songs. I installed it without problems, but when I start the program there is no sound. I have other Windows programs running under Wine with no problems with the sound.
I am using a Dell Latitude D620 laptop.
Any suggestions are

[LLVMdev] [PowerPC] ABI questions

There's one small difference between the two: with the 64 bit ELFv1/
SVR4 ABI, tail padding for structs passed by value is only performed
in case the struct is larger than 8 bytes, while for AIX 64 bit it's
always done. As an aside, on Darwin/ppc64 it's done if the

SAMBA not broadcasting server info
Up until a few days ago, I had SAMBA running just fine on several
different systems, but very recently on of the server has quit announcing
itself to the newtwork. Smbd, nmbd, and winbindd are all running on the
server, and the machines on the network can all still reach the shares on
the system, but an attempt to browse for the server and its available shares
from a client PC does not produce a

Mask the caller-ID
Dear All :
I need to mask the caller ID and pretend to make a transfer call from
another extension :
exten => 558,1,Answer
exten => 558,2,Playback(soundclip)
exten => 558,3,Dial(SIP/472@callman)
The scenario is like this :
Someone is calling 558 at my company - he will hear a soundclip voice
message then I will direct it to extension 472
I need 472 to not see the extension of

Break nested instructions?
Is there any pass that breaks an expression out of an instruction's
operand into its own instruction, so that such nested instructions
become explicit and are thus easier to work with in?
e.g Following|call|instruction contains a|GEP|instruction as its first
operand. Is there any pass which allows me to break up this:
| %call = call i32 (i8*, ...)* @printf(i8* getelementptr inbounds ([4

cat() to STDERR
Dear R wizards---I read Brian Ripley's post from 2004 which said that
it was not possible to print to STDERR. Alas, I have more modest
needs. I was wondering if it was possible to just send a string to
STDERR with cat() while in CMD BATCH mode.
Is it not possible to open STDERR in R? (Or does R use STDERR for
itself and redirect it into the output stream?)
This would be on a standard Unix
