If I won't finish my bits today, I'll surely apply Cedric's patch.

[LLVMdev] Small patch for IntrinsicEmitter for VS
Hi,
The actual tableGen generate a chain of if/then/else for the intrinsic which
is too long for VS 2005, and result in a compile error. I did a small change
in table gen so that the if aren't chained so that I could compile (patch
attached). This double the algorithmic complexity of the function but it
seems that this wasn't a problem. If speed is needed here, we could hash the

FWIW, Squat has been deprecated since 2.0, so none of this should come as a surprise.

Thanks for mySql
For Squat vs Solr, Solr does not reach Squat by very far in terms of
results : If I setup Solr, and search (via the search in Roundbube or
Evolution) for a keyword or part of the keyword, the results are
complete non sense. The diference between "search in full body" and
"search in fields" does not even work.
Solr with Dovecot seems very early beta

Adding an external library to Xapian
I am working in Ubuntu 12.04. I have tried re-configuring the source tree
too. Removing the destructor stops the error messages for the destructor
but the constructor's error persist.

sig11 in 1.1rc5 fts
This happened from one user near noon on the 17th and 19th (today) of
this month. From the backtrace it looks like they were searching, but I
won't know for sure unless I need to ask them. Is this possibly fixed
already? I just haven't upgraded dovecot in a while due to lack of
problems. The sig11 happened a few dozen times, a few seconds apart
each day. I have one coredump from

Oh. The diff file doesn't seem to include the two new files. We're outside
right now. I'll send you the files as soon as we reach in 30-40 minutes.
Also, we're moving to git.
Thanks

It is there:
https://github.com/sidmutha/xapian/blob/master/xapian-core/api/Makefile.mk#L53
On an other note, I'm trying to run ./bootstrap from the cloned repo. But
it gives an error saying "unknown option -C" followed by "Bootstrap failed".

RT/Linux SCHED_RR/_FIXED to combat latency?
Good morning!
We're experiencing rather very bad latency spikes on busy Linux
systems, for example if one machine is the jumphost (ssh -J) for a few
hundred connections, while at the same time handles CPU intensive
tasks.
Would RT/Linux SCHED_FIXED or SCHED_RR be of help in such a case, e.g.
put all ssh processes into the SCHED_FIXED scheduling class, with a
priority higher than the

Rsync - expensive startup question
Hi there,
I'm using rsync with some large trees of files (on one
disk, we have 30M files, for example, and a we might
be copying say, 500k files in one tree. The file trees
are reasonably balenced -- no single directory has thousands
of files in it, for example. Our file system, at the moment,
is ext3. We are very comfortable with it, and are hesitant
to switch away from it, though JFS or

Full text search indexing
SEARCH is probably the slowest command that Dovecot has, especially when
searching texts from message bodies. There exists a lot of text search
engines, but unfortunately as far as I know there exists only one that
can be used with IMAP.
The reason why IMAP is special is because it requires that when
searching eg. "ello", it must match also mails which contain eg. word
